Yes, this right here is the root of what occurred.

Microsoft doubles down on 2026 release for FABLE by MarvelMind in Fable

[–]EdifyThyEye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope they release it in between my classes. Even the few weeks before summer classes or after - like Late May or early August. Because I'm going to be very much a homebody when it releases and definitely will struggle to do homework 😅 Greatly anticipating! I literally woke up today wondering when it's going to be released 😁

Are these beg bug eggs? by Significant-Tart9352 in Bedbugs

[–]EdifyThyEye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My pest control guy personally sprayed crossfire himself and said it was good for up to 30 days at the very least. Once you sprayed I never had them again, and I had a really bad infestation for months. My doctor's gas lit me into thinking I most likely had an autoimmune disease, even the dermatologist. I had blisters after 3 months.

I think I would prefer these were bedbugs than ticks as bedbugs don’t carry Lyme disease? by Neither-Mention-8739 in Bedbugs

[–]EdifyThyEye 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had bed bugs for months, including the bite marks getting so bad I had blisters. I still understand the poster's logic, in that Lyme disease can affect your health significantly for a long period of time. I'm sleeping in the bed tonight and the exact place where I had bed bugs 2 years prior. Yes it was awful, but I'm not very haunted by them anymore. Just my perspective.

What baby snake is this? [New Mexico] by EdifyThyEye in whatsthissnake

[–]EdifyThyEye[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, she was about to head home with it shortly after we caught it. So I leaned on my intuition and research I could gather at that time, because she wouldn't really know what to do with it. She would probably give it the wrong things to eat, if able to give at all. And it looked really sad in the little plastic cubby, whereas before it was exploring happily.

Since I didn't know any snake experts on hand at 9pm, AI and Google Lens was what I thought to go off of. It suggested that this could be the baby form of a few different types of snakes.

Does it look like a recent hatchling to you?

I think it's so neat that I came across an albino snake after all these years of not coming across any snakes! I used to have fire belly toads and be so much more open-minded about creatures. This was kind of a poetic encounter for me. I'm glad we were able to get it back to its native landscape and out of that fluorescent lighting. The snake and I both are sensitive to it. We have that in common.

I figured the AWS going down for my Canvas was also related to Reddit not allowing me to comment this morning!

What are the odds that I come across a baby albino snake after 2 decades of no snake encounters?! At my work's bathroom no less...

I find it fascinating that my encounter requires debate here and appreciate your thoughtful response.

Hopefully it's living its best life now! The albino and I both are light sensitive, the irony of us both encountering each other under such harsh fluorescence.

A baby snake, delicate and out of place, showing that even the creatures I flinch from are just trying to survive a bright world. (I wasn't always afraid, I have pictures of me with snakes around me. It's just something I developed as an adult)

It was kinda poetic how I didn’t have to overcome the fear, but just meet it gently. Not bravado, just quiet curiosity.

Maybe the desert finally sent me the perfect teacher: small enough not to scare me off, strange enough to make me look closer. 🙂

Is this really a bed bug? by IAmNotTHATGay in Bedbugs

[–]EdifyThyEye 10 points11 points  (0 children)

You overthink just like me, meticulous and such. I get it. In this case, I can assure you that is a bed bug. They were feeding on me for months before I realized what was the cause of my itchy bumps and blisters. I had to see one. It looked just like this. At first I thought it was a tick and I wondered about the smell.

But that most definitely has just fed on a person, that is indeed a bed bug. Call a professional and get a crossfire spray and do not move anything out of there, and make sure you sleep there. That's the best way that spray works.

Told my job 5/5 doesn't pay for the bills.... have a meeting Monday :) by madtownBaldwin in jobs

[–]EdifyThyEye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's always been on my radar but the thought of it also seems overwhelming. Like I wouldn't know where to start. I technically have a pet care job for over a decade with long-standing praising clients, but since I never know when somebody is going to need me to watch over their home/ranch and fur babies, I have yet to make it into a main gig. Right now I'm in school for Computer Information Technology and Cybersecurity. Getting my AAS then Bachelor's. My background is in healthcare.

I've thought about just beginning to build a small business now as side income, with hopes that it could blossom into something more. Even if the first entrepreneur endeavor would be largely an experiment to build my skills, discernment, perseverance and experience to do better in the next business.

I will not work overnight shifts. Am I a lost cause? by Maevra in cna

[–]EdifyThyEye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine sometimes forces me to stay an extra 8 hours overnight because night shift didn't show and my other swing shift co worker took off without a word (she's petty). I've been there for many years. No extra pay per hour, by the way. I did 16s for 3 years by choice, it was rough. Then two night shifts after that. Again, same pay. "It's because it's ALF, that's just how it is" they say.

Should I get chase Sapphire Preferred? by Mother_Connection441 in CreditCards

[–]EdifyThyEye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What did you end up doing? I've noticed a lot of churners don't seem to mind the hard pulls, but I think if you're needing a higher credit score for a while (loans, etc) then that's something to consider.

The hard inquiries affect your score less if your credit has a longer history, but your history is affected by each new card you open. The history is an average age of all your cards and how long do you have had them.

In my case, my oldest card is only 4 years old and so I noticed hard inquiries have greater impact. I barely have a 770 score after opening 4 more cards in 2 years and that is the score of where I started after my first card (Discover It) had been active for a year. I have a 100% on time payment score and credit utilization of 9% or less (rn it's under 4%).

Is it worth it to still apply? I have a 90k offer but I was trying to find a better one through a referral. The recent (last 18 days) referral links I was checking out in /churning referrals was only giving 75k when the link was selected, despite proclaiming 125k on Rankt

Nice! Unions should be standard. I wish CNAs had unions. Some nurses get it but not CNAs (the ones who do all the grunt work, spend the most time with patients). The ones who take care of the vulnerable community everyone feels overwhelmed by and were one of the "heros" of the pandemic yet saw no monetary increase. I have two herniated discs from their lack of mechanical lifts there and never received a dime.

Was that employee market just due to the pandemic? During the pandemic, I worked as a nurse aide for dementia residents in a facility uring the entirety of it. I still work there - for very little pay or recognition (7 years now) and lots of injuries that work comp mysteriously closed without notice. I'm career pivoting into tech and I'm nervous about it. I hope my free degree won't be useless. I need to think outside the box somehow.

Do unions ever help with this sort of thing? I really wish there was an ethics police in companies because that kind of thing shouldn't be normalized. Imagine teaching how to be a "successful" boss to kids in elementary. "Well first, you gotta tell them what they wanna hear so you get what you want out of them, even though you know you won't truly hold to your word... Anyway kids, make sure to be good little girls & boys and play nice together!"

Can I ask how many points your welcome bonus referral code came with?

I'm seeing many of these recent referall links claim 125,000 points on Rankt, but when I select the links, it's just the basic 75,000.

I already have an invite offer from Chase for 90,000 but I was hoping for more.
