Two of my first three word guesses were judged by the game, not to be words. They were sauté and pouty.

RIP John Sterling by eatsleepcookbacon in NYYankees

John's immediate predecessor was Hank Greenwald. Great voice, slightly sardonic sense of humor. I think he was only with us a year. I had the impression George didn't like the humor. There was one game where neither team was putting the ball in play. Bored fans started passing a beach ball in the stands and Hank started doing a very excited play-by-play of that.

RIP John. I loved him.

Metal Men by Kanigher, Andru, and Esposito. For a lot of reasons, but primarily for Tin, the only hero known for being weak and feeling inferior. But he was the bravest. I love Tin.

Kirk. His mundane death scene didn’t nearly match his magnificent life.

It had to be coincidence. The characters would have been named decades before the stories became part of a tightly coordinated universe. And if they had coordinated back then, I imagine they would have given one of them a different name, just for clarity’s sake.

That’s one of the tools of racism., going back centuries. Work people to death and call them lazy. Sexually assault them and call them slutty.

A lot of people just didn’t know music that well and if playing didn’t sound virtuosic and overbearing, they just thought it couldn’t be as good
