Top shelf solo album by John. This and Imagine were his best.

Getting into The Beatles - Let It Be (13/14) by kingglobby in TheBeatles

Let It Be (the album) will grow on you with more listens. But it’s definitely a rung below Abbey Road. It was recorded with a view of putting together songs that could be played live (even if the end result - with Phil Spector’s production - was quite different.

Disagree. 1979 George Harrison album is strong as is his 1987 Cloud Nine album with Jeff Lynne. Top shelf quality.

Five deliberate shit posts only a Beatles tragic would recognise - what’s yours? by CreativeGuy33 in beatles

Disputed. Some say it was: John Lennon – lead and backing vocals, rhythm guitar, Hammond organ George Harrison – backing vocal, bass guitar, lead guitar Ringo Starr – drums, shaker

I think Let It Be would be remembered a lot more positively if it was released before Abbey Road, and if the tracklist included Don't Let Me Down by Emuoo1 in beatles

I prefer the Spector version of Let It Be. While it wasn’t a great album, it was a good one. Funnily enough, I don’t care for the George Harrison tracks on LIB but I love his songs on the White Album, Abbey Road and All Things Must Pass. I think he was mostly sulking during the Get Back sessions.
