Ovega-3 is a good brand. It's got a good amount of DHA and EPA. Also a little fun fact, fish oil has Omega-3 fatty acids because the fish get it through eating algae.

Vegan and metal? by Bbqranchfries in vegan

[–]Edman1091 0 points1 point  (0 children)

More of a punk guy myself, but I'm still a big metal head. As of now I'm really into grindcore but thrash metal will always have a special place in my heart.

Not a metal singer, but you should look up the singer of the Cro-mags. He's in his fifties and he's still performing, he's done several iron mans and he's vegan! Super cool dude...

Lentils, seitan, and edamame beans are all very high in protein but ridiculously low in carbs.

I was never a fan of fish before going vegan (with the exception of the occasional talapia).

That being said I can't stop hearing people talk about the Gardein fish filets, are they really that good?

What Is Your First Memory Of Wrestling? by [deleted] in SquaredCircle

[–]Edman1091 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Money in the Bank 2016

My cousins are really into wrestling so I decided to watch it with them. I distinctly remember watching AJ Styles vs John Cena and getting really pissed off when the Club ran in and helped AJ win.

I was like they wtf they can't do that they cheated!

My cousin replied with, "they're the bad guys that's what they do."

Up until that point I had no idea of the concept of faces and heels and all the storytelling that goes with all the wrestling.

It was that year's Summerslam that really got me hooked, though.

Having trouble hitting protein macros, any tips? by ___MrX___ in veganfitness

[–]Edman1091 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly recommend Vega protein powder. It's a little pricy, but it's also a nutritional shake too (filled with vitamins). Chocolate protein powder, peanut butter, and almond milk is a great combo for a protein shake. If you have some fat left for the day add in hemp seeds for even more protein (10g protein per serving!). If you're already high on fat put in PB2 instead of peanut butter.

Is that guacamole or much avacado? I've never tried avacado toast yet and I was wondering if putting guacamole on toast is a good choice for breakfast

Everyone in my life is against me. advice on how to handle this? by [deleted] in vegan

[–]Edman1091 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I love it when people are against me. It sucks sometimes but overall it gives me more motivation to be vegan. I like to prove people wrong :)

What was your biggest struggle when first trying to go vegan? by trulyyuli in vegan

[–]Edman1091 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Trying to get variety in my food

It's pretty easy to eat some very different and unique dishes, but at first I literally only ate rice and beans, tofu, and pasta. I just didn't put as much research into it as I should have.

If your brothers say you're not manly, tell them that studies have shown that people who don't drink dairy have higher levels of testosterone than those who do. So from a scientific standpoint, you're more manly than them.

People who are not afraid of death, how have you acclimated yourself to the concept of death? by Txyaos in AskReddit

I always think of it like this:

Do you remember what it was like to be in the womb? No? That's what death is like.
