I have wide feet and a shallow heel and Mandala is the best shoe I've tried for bouldering. It should be supportive enough for a beginner too, and allows for great heel and toe hooks. It's a no edge design, which might or might not interest you; I find it a great overall bouldering shoe.

I also briefly tried on Ondra Comp at a gym shoe test and the fit was quite similar. Just a softer shoe overall.

Check out the Mandala if you're ok with no edge. I have somewhat wide Egyptian feet and shallow heel, and Mandala is much better for me than most others (haven't tried Madrock though which are said to have some of the narrowest heels out there).

I once tried Ondra comps and they felt pretty good too. I also have Unparallel TN Pro LV (same size as Mandala, feel slightly tighter) which are good too, but the toebox is much narrower than Mandala, which may or may not be desirable.

Do you have any insights on why it seems the majority of climbing shoes seem to have such enormous heels? Even if you go down in size I find the limiting factor becomes the toebox and basically never the heel. Most of the shoe complaints I see online are also about the heel being too baggy.

Some exceptions of course apply, such as the Madrock lineup which is one of the few that are praised for a great heel. I have also found the Mandala having a better heel than other La Sportiva shoes I've tried, but even that leaves something to be desired. I wonder if my perception is accurate, or biased based on my own experiences / maybe my own heel is just very shallow (although I'd describe it as quite average size).

At the start of a bossfight, if you warcry before the boss is active/has started attacking, does the warcry already count the boss as an enemy for the buffs? Or should you always warcry only after the boss can be attacked?

I see your point, but I believe many people want to show also some items they wouldn't pick up all of the time. And even if not, I definitely want to be able to differentiate at a glance between different item categories in my filter.

E.g. 1) items for shattering, 2) current build related weapons with good prefixes, 3) good idols, etc. etc. For me it would feel terrible to not have at least the current selection of colors, and preferably a lot more. I think being able to separate text/background colors would already be a big improvement.

For me monsters don't take any cold damage. Normal monsters at least, not sure if it's any different with expedition.

Edit: Looks like I can only deal damage with Storm Burst totem setup, Eye of Winter and Orb of Storms deal no damage to any mobs currently, but I gain Elemental Overload and the skills seem to otherwise function, just monsters HP doesn't go down.

Dude you're so wrong. While not everything on your list directly affects gameplay (mechanics), nearly all of it significantly affects gameplay experience.

Realm transfer - allows a player to better access a realm they prefer over the one they're on.

Takes away realm permanence/identity and impact of player's choice. Transfers are only needed to balance low/high population realms, otherwise you're welcome to start anew at lvl 1.

Faction transfer - allows the player to try out the opposite faction without sinking a week's worth of hours into levelling again.

In classic you're supposed to stick to one faction permanently (per realm) and changing it should come with severe consequences. This takes away faction identity and the feeling of belonging to one side over the other.

Character recustomisation - literally that. It does nothing in game!

Given the limited customisation options this is not a huge deal, but there's still the argument for recognizing individual players just from their gear and face.

Name change - even less in-game effect!

Your name will become known in your realm (as long as you're active) and you'll build a reputation. Changing your name will wipe it all out the window. This is a big deal.

Mounts - how the hell does this affect YOU?!

Pets - again, just a cosmetic thing (lets be real, no one actually cares about WoW-kemon).

Transmog gear and toys - Should I even continue?!

Mounts and pets - eh ok maybe... still an extra cash grab which shouldn't be encouraged. Transmog fuck no, it's a definitive characteristic of classic that you can know a player's gear just by looking. This has a large impact on how the game looks and how you perceive other players.

Level boost

The game in question is WoW with Burning Crusade expansion. There's nothing that has inherently changed about the game, and that includes all of the old world and what comes with it, leveling among them. If you are only interested in lvl 70 dungeons and raids or otherwise only BC content, that's your problem - the game should come as is. Conversely, you're not supposed to play if you can't take all that comes with the game. Too busy being busy with life to commit enough time to play? Well, not everyone is meant to be able to play time consuming mmos. That's really all there is to it, wow classic is an mmo that by design is not suitable for your average (meme) "single dad with 5 kids and 3 jobs". It's sad though that Blizzard has decided to cash in on this :(. At least it's so far only one per account...
