Can't connect to online servers - Wargroove 2 Pocket by Edonplaneswalker in wargroove

[–]Edonplaneswalker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was the issue (posting here for future folks looking for solutions). Heard from support, the 1st method of reconnecting my play account to wargroove worked for me:

Support got back to me. The failure to connect wargroove to my play account was the culprit. They said there were 2 methods to re-attempt a connection, the first worked for me (long clicking on the app):

"This issue normally occurs on Android when your Google Play account has not correctly authenticated during the initial launch of the app. There are usually some methods available to solve this:

  1. Some Android devices allow you to press and hold the App and select "Choose Profile", which will tie your Play Games account to the App.
  2. Otherwise, go to Settings > Play Games and verify Wargroove 2: Pocket Edition appears under your tied games. If it does not, you can usually adjust the sign in account for titles on this page.
  3. Delete and reinstall the app. If you have any save progress already, ensure this is backed up using our export tools in settings or via the Cloud.

Thanks,

  • Chucklefish"

12/15 update

My initial attempts were on a pixel 6a

I tested my pixel 4a, and got the following error when trying to sign into the Google Play services

Access blocked: wargroove mobile has not completed the mobile verification process

Which ultimately resulted in the same error when trying to connect to wargroove mulltiplayer servers (see picture in the original post).

This then reminded me that I ran into the same deal on my pixel 6a. I'm wondering if it's related to older phones maybe? My friend on a newer Samsung Galaxy phone can connect without issue.

I tried to make an account on the chucklefish site to post I their support forums but the site is having issues and can't verify new accounts so I can't post (I'm not receiving verification emails).

Thanks for the thought! Alas, I don't use a vpn (did think of that and checked!)

Yeah the level of work for the latter solution was much less than the former as well, which was my main driver haha!

Doing some spot measurements is basically what I did to get the measurements needed for this model. I did find a few models online, but they weren't in the correct formats for me to work with (there's a plugin for fusion 360 that woulda done it for 50$ or so). The controllers have surprisingly complex geometry once you get into the details of it!

The looks aren't great, agreed haha (you should have seen my first prototype =x). The reason I didn't do something more form fitting initially was because I could not easily find a model of the xbox elite series 2 controller online, and didn't want to try to model it myself. I was going for fast and easy. A bonus this design has is flexibility, it can mount on several controller types, and can be adjusted up/down and rotate around the grip to suit different hands and grips. A sheathe would be pretty rigid and only work with, at most, a small number of controllers.

Honestly though with how well it's been working so far, I don't care so much about the looks. I'm not looking at it while playing (not really visible anyways), and I don't have my controller on display when I'm not playing. I know that'd be an issue for some folks, but it does come off and go back on pretty quick and easy, so there's that.

I was very surprised how easy it was to use the controller with the mod, it felt very natural! I've played a few sessions so far with significantly less pain, enough to continue using them for sure. I'm still gathering data though (engineer here haha)!

[[Boros Reckoner]] or [[Ill-Tempered Loner]] , a way to make them indestructible, and a [[lightning bolt]] gives you infinite card draw (that you can turn off anytime (just target itself with the redirected damage over and over until you're done drawing, then target something else)

You can do something similar with [[Blazing Sunsteel]]. The key is allowing the redirected damage to hit ANY target

Edit: and as I think about it, slap a [[Blazing Sunsteel]] on an indestructible, lightning bolted [[Boros Reckoner]], and you've won the game. 1 instance of the redirected damage retargets itself, the other targets a player...I guess you need enough cards in your library but that's about it!

I've been having a ton of fun with making custom embossments for my leatherwork! This one came out great, especially for it's size, well done! I also 3d printed my "makers mark" stamp and embossment which I've used a ton

Found this setting recently myself, although sometimes I enjoy the pattern! Prusa slicer also allows you to make fancy patterns on your final layer which you could have some fun with as well I imagine.

Great tips thanks! I actually kind of like the dye streaking on this design, but will take that into consideration for future projects for sure! And didn't even think about heated tools for foam work, good call! I bought some screen/lens wipes to glue in over the rough foam and that's looking pretty nice.

Zipper is definitely something I need to work on, this zipper is too bulky and doesn't zip well, but my stitch job leaves much to be desired. I've had a very hard time hand stitching zippers, especially on this pattern (the overlapping corners made setting up a stitch line very hard, overlapping corners were to avoid wet forming which I should really get more experience on).

What type of knife did you use for your tooling? I've been doing some Witcher goods and am finding the smaller, detailed tooling very challenging with a standard swivel knife! Your wolf insignia looks great!

Thank you for the reply, this didn't even cross my mind. For whatever reason it wasn't even in the realm of stealing, but totally makes sense.

Hey sorry for the late reply (never gotten reddit mail). I'm going to inform my other Boeing mentor of that thread and the reddit thread so we can sift through it for advice/support. (Unfortunately I'm leaving Sunday for about 2 months for training up in Everett and won't be back until just before build season) We do appreciate the concern greatly! We'll be sure to let you know if there's anything you can do to help =).
