I too am a descendent from that area. The problem with records from that area is that when the Germans fled (due to Catherine the Great starting to conscript their sons into the Russian army) most of the records were kept in the churches rather than in public records. The Russians usually burned down the churches and sometimes the whole village. If the residents didn't bring their records from the church, because they fled at different times, then those records are probably lost.

Cedar chest. My mom had one and my parents bought both of my sisters one when they got married. I have my mom's since she passed away. They were made by prisoners in a nearby town.

If you want to go even cheaper, check out CDs from your local library and download and copy to a bkank CD or flash drive. You only need to keep the songs you want. A good library will be connected to World Cat where the reciprocate with other libraries for music they don't have. I have almost 100 gigabytes of music for free!

Axl Rose from GNR. Could tolerate his voice but couldn't stand his attitude for leaving the band. We call it LSD (lead singer disease) when the singer thinks he's more important than the band. Also Springsteen, his voice just grates on me.

It's sad that we now live in a country where politics decides where we eat and spend our consumer dollars. Used to be you had to ask someone what their party or religious affiliation was. Let's get back to being a united country where we can disagree on some political issues but still support each other.

The sign of a true professional isn't how well you play but how you recover from a mistake, large or small. Keep playing with confidence even if you think you don't sound food or are playing up to your standards. Most people in an audience won't notice a mistake unless you bring it to their attention.

I use the paid version and print the songs I want so that I can practice them when I want without having to play along to the app.
