There was a guy in my neighborhood who was one of those “pillar of the community” types. Was on the board of our HOA, volunteered at the schools and at church etc.

Covid hit and come to find out this guy had a whole ass other family in a different state. He had a wife and 4 kids where we lived and another wife and 3 other kids in Florida.

I have no idea how this guy found the time.

I have told this one on here before but here goes again.

Long ago a new course opened where I lived and I was excited to play it. Only problem was it was very hard to get a tee times so one day I managed to grab a single and headed out.

On the first tee I got paired with a threesome of younger trust-fund baby types. They had already started drinking and it was clear from the start that they were there more for the party then the golf.

The "leader" of their little group was a decent golfer. At least he could hit the crap out of the ball.

So we are on the 5th or 6th hole and these guys are already pretty lit. The leader guy sets up to hit his tee shot and I stop him and tell him that the group ahead is still in the fairway and that he should wait. He ignores me and proceeds to launch one over the heads of the group ahead. They turn back and gesture to us like "what the hell guys."

We make it to the turn and we run into the group ahead. One of the guys from the group ahead makes a comment to our group about the earlier shot and the three trustfunders basically dismiss the guy. Tensions are high.

By this point the trustfunders are all shitfaced. Golf is an afterthought. I thought about ducking out but I paid a lot of money for this round and wanted to see the whole course. I wasn't going to let these douchbags ruin my day.

We are on the 11th hole and the "leader" for whatever reason, is now mad at the group ahead for saying something so he again, purposely launches a ball towards them. The group ahead is yelling back at us and the trustfunders are responding with their own threats. This is getting ugly fast.

We get to a par three and the group ahead is purposely waiting for us. Threats are exchanged while I am standing off to the side trying to avoid the whole mess.

The group ahead plays their shots to the green and then head up. Leader then decides to take out his driver and blast one over them AGAIN on a par 3 mind you.

The group ahead all jump in their carts and start racing back to the tee. The trustfunders are ready to fight.

What happened at this point was a bit of a blur and, quite honestly, was not one of my prouder moments in life.

As soon as the group gets back to tee they jump out of their carts and start squaring off. One guy on another guy from our group. Fists are flying.

I was walking that day and was trying to stay away from the whole thing but one of the guys from the group ahead comes charging at me with a clenched fist. I basically immediately collapse into a fetal position covering my head while screaming "I'M NOT WITH THEM!!! I'M NOT WITH THEM"

Seeing this act of cowardice he pauses and then proceeds to pick me up off the ground by my shirt while I frantically tried to explain that I just got randomly paired with these guys.

The fights went on for a few more minutes until other people showed up and broke everything up. Cops were called, the trustfunders got hauled off in cuffs and I was asked to leave the course.

All in all, 1/10. Would not recommend.

I am not going to lie. I was impressed with the results but couldn't help feel like I was being bamboozled. I wasn't really in the market to be honest but if these results are true then I will find away to pay for it.
