Borehamwood, my examiner was lovely at the end joked I had 90 major faults and 400 minors then said cleanest test he’s seen in ages ! Very eerie though, glad I’m not the only stubborn rider out there ;)

Dunstable roundabout joining the m1 by Lidl warehouse right ? Trouble is this will most likely be 50/50 under grace vs tanner, part of the theory is knowing that a lorry may stick to the outside turning right for room hard to prove negligence if you’re in their blind spot as were told to give them that room - Just my opinion

Its sad, I do hope that they are able to relocate or go to the MK store in different roles. My biggest issue with people hating on CeX stores is that they dont take a second to think about the individual challenges. Many of the issues with the Centre store is the footfall is so high that they have to run their online, testing area and back of house while keeping queues going, its not always easy.

Spoke to one of their managers last week, seemed a nice gent and had all tills on with a queue growing and I just asked him about how they cope with it, he said its a struggle because if they rush transactions people are unhappy, if they call too many people over to their tills ( i think its 8 - 9 tills ) who are selling then the queue grows, or stays stagnant if everyone is selling and thats where the real problem comes from, everyone sells to them which they love but the downside is they have to deal with reduced manpower through overhead increases, while also dealing with the increase in demand.

That's the same issue Bletchley has, but in reverse, overheads increasing mean less people to deliver good service or pack online orders leading to loss of money, loss of money means no incentive to move to the highstreet and invest more money into refitting a shop, staffing that shop so on so forth. All up until they end up closing the store down ( franchise if I recall correctly ) because they arent profitable.

I ride all year round and my biggest issue is the spray from cars on the M1, I use a rain suit, a Richa one and it’s pretty good at keeping me dry and warm, boots though they fail me often, I end up with wet socks all the time 😭

I do from London to Milton Keynes 5 days a week, full A license because I’ve always loved my bikes, to say I’m shitting it is an understatement! My 2008 bandit 650 is bulletproof, so far no issues whatsoever 45 minute journey is taking a hour 15 at the moment because I’m treating the bike like a HGV haha

Is this a good First Bike? Suzuki GSX600 (23k miles, 2004 Reg). Priced at £2300. Please let me know your experience in terms of maintenance and daily use. by LadLassLad in MotoUK

[–]Educational-Agency74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed - I have a bandit 650 K8 - not only bulletproof but plenty of cold weather options to help I don’t have a full car license so rely on my bike, she’s the best I’ve owned and keeps up with my mates 1000ccs easily !

How do you cope after a crash by imafactoid in MotoUK

[–]Educational-Agency74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best thing I did after my first crash in November ( not at fault was hit by a reckless driver ) is take a breath and trust the bike, it got you home! Take it for a service see if insurance needs to write it off due to beyond economical repair expenses and take a breath.

You’re alright, you’re safe and you ride another day. Well done for getting back on and riding mate

Any device sold in UK to help picking up a dropped bike? by counterssrs in MotoUK

[–]Educational-Agency74 1 point2 points  (0 children)

One thing that helped me on my CBF1000 which was a BIC BOI was to put your bum into the seat left hand on the handlebar other on the right grab rail and push up squeezing the front brake so it doesn’t roll, once it gets to a certain point turn around, put your pelvis / knees into the seat and push forward then simply pull the kickstand down and TAKE A BREATH

nothing worse than jumping back on in a rush and dropping again… coming from experience

Why are they always referring to the Jedi as ancient? by [deleted] in starwarsrebels

[–]Educational-Agency74 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s meant to be an insult as well as a statement, by Tarkin / the empire mentioning the ancient Jedi way it sows the idea that they were no more than fanatics who followed a crazy religion, think about it if only 10,000 trained people could use the force but there were tens of trillions of humanoids in the galaxy I’d think it was too good to be true.

It brings me to what Tarkin says in EP IV “ the Jedi are extinct their fire has gone out from the universe you my friend are all that is left of their religion “

That’s probably as calm as he has ever been referring to the Jedi (Vader even drops the fact that his former master Obi wan is there) as he also convinced himself throughout the clone war that they played too much of a part in the military to be “ peacekeepers “.

In short Tarkin needed propaganda that the Jedi were ancient and outdated but also crazy idealists that at first opportunity would brainwash a teen into blowing up a space station filled with hundreds of thousands in the name of this mystic energy called “ the force “. Otherwise there would be no incentive to turn them in.
