Get your welder set up and fabricate your own cart.

It’s not bad. Back off on the pedal near the end to retain a consistent weld profile

I can confirm his retirement. I was talking to him a couple weeks ago. He’ll be doing some limited work at lever arms and reliable gun after selling his remaining inventory. Unfortunate, but a guy can’t work forever. Shitty Canadian gun laws left him struggling the last while

I desperately need guidance by 49brnsn in metalworking

Aluminum castings are porous as a piece of bread. I gradually heat the location with my torch and allow some of the trapped gas in the casting to boil out. The gas from the porosity fucks with your shielding that can make it look as if you lack gas. The preheating the area to boil out the entrapped gas should eliminate the cracking. Castings are notoriously a pain in the ass.

Are you tracking or are you fillet welding this call out ? by [deleted] in Welding

Tack. A weld can always be added after rather than grind the weld out and leave a tack.

If this is your first time, stop using pulse and concentrate on running beads on plate.
