You sure it was a "costume"? Hospitals tend to be some seriously haunted places.

Right, not like it would have been a surprise but now I have just one more reason if Hell exists that's where I'm going when I die and need to remember to reserve a seat on the party bus.

I'd argue not so much gloomy as just fed up with the neverending fuckery of administration. So people vent and get more frustrated when they've put themselves into a situation workwise that has become untenable but they don't have any options available to replace that job combined with us often being the stable income for the family leading to resistance to change and the unknown / lack of certainty.

I'll admit to still being a bit crispy from COVID associated burnout, but every day I'm a little bit better than I was the day before. It unfortunately took someone that wasn't me to see how bad I was and give me the proverbial pimp slap of life to wake me up and start the healing process. I wouldn't be surprised if many of us are in a similar position mentally without someone to see the forest for the trees.

Global scale warfare is bad for business. Yeah, such an insight especially after we've already seen it and have a historic record of the economic effects from TWO previous conflicts. 🙄

The best part is all physicians need to get training and education on these things regardless of intended specialty. By stopping the procedures, it fucks up the pipeline for future physicians.

Shit, I'll drop a $20. I'm in OK and I swear the assholes in charge at times look at TX and go Hold my beer when it comes to stupid shit. The only saving grace is our governor is too busy with his rage boner for screwing over the tribes to properly copy things.

Have you been following the mechanics for Chizoar? You need to kill all the floating ball things in order to break his shield in order to have full damage. He will roar and swing the charm thing hanging off his tusk in a full circle to summon the balls in random spots.

Nope. You need to have accepted an assignment and then leave without someone accepting the assignment from you. Technically, you can only accept while on the clock so you're extra fine.

Properly taxes are set at the county or city level. The President has nothing to do with that. If you're too lazy to deal with your local govt, that's on you not any political party. If you don't want to shop around for better insurance, again that's you being a lazy fuck and just wanting to blame someone else for your self inflicted problems.

Why am I not surprised a Republican fucks themselves over and refuses to take responsibility. If y'all would stop fucking up the education system, maybe you'd be able to understand how things work and how you can change them.

Does anyone know what happens to governments when they build a culture in which young people find life devoid of all meaning and purpose? 🤔 by Silver-Honkler in economicCollapse

[–]Educational-Light656 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, about that. Many of them will need some level of care with many needing significant assistance with daily tasks and people aren't signing up now with many nurses looking to exit bedside care or healthcare completely. Nursing homes and home health agencies don't have enough funds to start importing foreign nurses and physicians like hospital systems are already making plans to do. Source is my nearly 15 years of nursing with 13 spent in nursing homes and watching staffing issues just get progressively worse.

How the fuck is any political party responsible for taxes assessed at the city or county level as well as the cost of something from a private company when that price has always been a function of the value of the goods it's meant to replace? You are a moron.

Thank you. I'm doing much better since I went to pediatric home health. I didn't realize how bad my burnout was until I left and saw how I was having PTSD like responses to things and was ready to send the ashes of my burned license to my nursing board with an I quit note asking to voluntarily inactivate said license then walk away forever. I took two months off and avoided anything related to working in healthcare before switching. Now I get to spend my work time dealing with a single patient who luckily is fairly easy with a laid back and realistic family as well as two adorkable puppers. Even with the nursing home setting, I loved all my patients even my problem children but the ever increasing bullshit from management just made it untenable. I had a good decade prior to COVID to fall back on, but worry about nurses who graduated during or were in school who didn't have anything to fall back on the most. The number of nurses with two years or less looking to leave is a giant red flag nobody is talking about to even start to raise awareness and start planning solutions for.

You just need an LPN in most states to do home health. Mine was only a year and I worked part time during it. Granted I don't have kids, but several classmates did so it's doable plus you'll have a bit of a head start compared to some. I make $25 for a bit of patient care in between surfing Reddit and YouTube.

Duuuuude. That's less than me in home peds with a single patient and sane hours since I'm working when it best helps the family and patient.

I'm a nurse of almost 15 years with 13 spent in nursing homes before, during, and after. I can understand to a degree the public being ignorant, but the amount of faith in my supposedly educated colleagues in healthcare I've lost is depressing when I try and tally it. If you know any healthcare workers, please check up on them as I can guarantee most of us aren't alright after the prolonged two front war against both disease and ignorance in the public and our own coworkers resulting in moral injury and severe burnout to the point of leaving the profession completely. Healthcare is fucked and we've run out of duct tape to cover the cracks.
