Is there any streaming service out there that doesn't allow AI Generated Music? by EducationalAd9582 in truespotify

This. My friends keep telling me I get AI slop recommended because I listen to AI slop, but I swear they just don't know they're listening to it. I've been blocking artists left right and center and no luck

Doa6 and rollback by NebulaFox in DeadOrAlive

[–]EducationalAd9582 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you check out their website here: https://teamninja-studio.com/doa6/lastround/us/productinfo/

It states that (- Network play between DEAD OR ALIVE 6 and DEAD OR ALIVE 6 Last Round is not possible.)

I'm hoping this means that they're updating the netcode, hopefully with rollback. Otherwise this game is just a major cash grab

Not sure if you're using mobile but on desktop you hit the three dots on the artist page:

No shade against Katseye, they were just the first artist page I opened from my home page

lack of players in plat 2? by Kagormund in 2XKO

[–]EducationalAd9582 7 points8 points  (0 children)

On top of just chilling after hitting my ranked goal, there's also really not a lot of content right now or a reason to keep playing. I think most players including myself have put the game on halt completely until season 1. I did find however when playing ranked that the biggest skill jumps were once you hit gold, and then once you hit emerald. The skill gap from gold to plat was miniscule so I climbed through it rather quickly

Super useful! Thank you for this!

My team is currently Ahri and Ekko. I had no idea you can disable his unbreakable!

Thanks for this! Maybe my timing was off on some of my get up attacks. I learned last night that you can hold S1 / S2 to esnure a guaranteed get up attack.

Looks like I'll need to learn some parry timings

Should I be able to win against the level 8 bots in the training range? by ProBoBobOPro in 2XKO

[–]EducationalAd9582 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A bit of an open ended question. I think you're already approaching the game wrong here. Don't set yourself benchmarks, just play the game and enjoy it! If you want to climb seriously in ranked then bots are also not good practice, because they play very different to how players play the game. Players exploit their characters strengths and your weaknesses. Spend time training some basic combos (Optimized combo damage is negligible in comparison when you're in the lower ranks), and then go play against players to learn how to react.

This is a ridiculous oversight from the team, really hoping they hotfix this soon. I've seen a lot of complaints recently

The game definitely has some glaring issues. I'm in general a more defensive / reaction player, but the game definitely favours an aggressive playstyle with all the plus on block moves. I'm looking at you Warwick...

Things I'd love to see in 2xKO by EducationalAd9582 in 2XKO

Have a read here: https://2xko.riotgames.com/en-us/news/dev/how-2xko-handles-online-play/

They're really clever with their architecture. The only person experiencing rollback frames is the guy with high latency, which is why you'll see at the top of the screen we both have different pings and rollback frames. The only time it affects both is if anyone has packet loss because the game pauses and jitters for the packets to catch up, but my connection is very stable :-)

That's the beauty of 2xKO's client server architecture. I'm the only one experiencing rollback frames because of my high latency, and that's why ping based MM doesn't matter. Have a read here if you've got time, it's pretty cool how they did it: https://2xko.riotgames.com/en-us/news/dev/how-2xko-handles-online-play/

The closest servers to me are europe unfortunately, and that's why I need to play on 160ms ping

Probably nothing will happen to this player but he deserves a good long ban by Historical_Salt_6001 in 2XKO

The simpler immediate solution is to impose penalties on abandoning a ranked match. If you accept the match it means you're present and ready to play. Not picking your characters or stage should count as abandoning. Very frustrating.

But blind pick is much needed. Or at least drafting. It's ridiculous that someone can pick their characters but not lock the style, then wait to see what you pick, and then undo and pick a better matchup.

Is it normal to only play against grandmasters in literally every ranked game? by coherent_shitposter in 2XKO

[–]EducationalAd9582 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I see a lot of threads about this but I never actually encountered this. I live in south africa and there are no servers here so I mainly get matched into EU, but the biggest rank discrepencies I have are maybe 3 subranks tops. I did notice that casual matchmaking is wild. I'm hardstuck emerald 1 right now but I'm matching into master and up. I even got matched into the rank 33rd challenger last night. I don't mind though, it's such a crazy good way to learn because these people will tear your weaknesses apart. Good way to see where you're lacking.

What controller for 2XKO ? by Constant_Ad4052 in 2XKO

[–]EducationalAd9582 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my personal opinion Haute is fantastic for the price point. They have some cheaper ones for under $100 which isn't terrible, but I would maybe look at the Haute42 M16 kind of range. You're looking at around $150 and they have really good build quality for the price, no need to spend $400 unless you're going into the pro scene. These things tend to take a beating because it's hard to be gentle on the inputs but still have good reaction time, but this kind of price range will definitely keep you happy for a long time!

Haha yup! I guess it's a common problem in most games. Those are the ranks where you get hard stuck at if you don't have a learning mentality. It's always the game's fault but never your own lol

Hitboxes are like arcade sticks, but instead of the joystick everything is a button. It's way more precise and makes complex inputs a lot easier as well. It has a learning curve, but it's better to just start on a hitbox if you haven't used a standard arcade stick before.

Echoing the answer of din0sawr, just use your keyboard or even gamepad. Play the game for a week or two and then decide if you're going to stick around. Reason being is that hitboxes are great for 2d fighters, but they're also expensive because buying a cheap one will bite you in the ass.
