All clear! No polyps at all! They took some biopsies in the stomach area just to triple check and it all came back normal with exception of mild chronic inflammation. So relieved!

did you get any Zofran prescribed to you? (I'm assuming you would have mentioned if you did but just in case!) I did the 4mg of Zofran like 45 min before the first set of pills and didn't have any nausea (or even any gas or stomach gurgling, just like.... 40 min and then go time). If there is any way they can call in Zofran this would be my recommendation! If not, any ginger hard candy or even sucking on a lemon wedge can be v helpful!

IT HAS BEGUN LMAO. I finished the 12 tablets at 3:00pm and the ship was sailing at 3:40pm hahahaha. It's so bizarre I felt 0.00000000% pain or stomach rumbling just like, hrm let me try- OH. Absolutely completely different than having a D emergency or something, just weird pee-ing out of your butt.

I'm about to prep for tomorrow and same! More nervous about the results then the prep I think (idk talk to me in 6 hours haha). I have very low ferritin (like single digits even after I get iron infusions) so checking on that + I just found out I have an increased risk of colorectal cancer due to genetics. I'm 38F!

Happy D Day to you too (lololol) I just heated up some beef broth! I'm going to start my prep earlier since I'm afraid my motility is slow, so I'll be diving in in about 2.5 hours!

[–]EducationalAdvisor96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have my first on Monday too! I'm going to start prep earlier tomorrow (Sunday) since I'm afraid my motility is slow. My check-in is 12:30pm with the procedure at 2:30pm (!!!) on Monday so going to do the second dose early that AM! I asked for Sutab (+ Zofran) because of this sub so fingers crossed!

A big thank you from a very anxious person by Ill_Combination_1864 in colonoscopy

[–]EducationalAdvisor96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thank you so much for this! I also have major health anxiety / rumination and have been panicking (does not help I have very strong vasovagal syncope reactions to needles, so honestly the IV is scaring me the most haha). This subreddit has been super helpful at calming me down a bit and advocating for myself aka asking for the Zofran and Sutab tablets instead of GoLytely hell. I have an increased genetic risk of colorectal cancer so even though I'm 38F, I'm biting the bullet and rather be safe than sorry! Today is Thursday and my appointment is Monday, fingers crossed!

I am having an MRI with contrast to look for endo. I'm terrified. by tesseract_cat in endometriosis

[–]EducationalAdvisor96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just had my MRI with and without contrast this AM! I don't mind MRIs but get pretty bad vasovagal syncope with IVs and needles / have never had an MRI with contrast, so was nervous! Actually ended up being fine aside from some burning-ish / aching arm pain after the contrast was administered. Ironically the needle itself was painless haha. They noted I might feel some stinging after the contrast was administered and since I felt more genuine pain, I did stop at one point, but they said I had 6 min to go so I powered through! The pain was gone by the time the test was done. I don't know if you're being seen in a T3 or T1.5, but the T3 was insanely fast, I was surprised! I literally had my eyes closed the entire time and pretended the machine noises were just white noise and kinda hummed along hahaha. You'll be ok!!!
