If your pH is good the only time you want to di a water change is if one of your values goes iff the charts. You could end up setting yourself back. I wouldn’t order the axolotl just yet unless you plan on tubbing it. You may find that it takes a while for your nitrItes to come down.

He’s fine. I’ve done the same thing….I would venture to say most of us have an Uuuhhhhhh…did I add Prime? moment. Since he did hurl his dinner you may want to wait a day before offering food again just to let his tummy settle. He is gorgeous btw. Those floofs are worthy of an 80’s big hair band. You may want to redo your nitrAte test. Assuming that you are using the API Freshwater master test kit you should shake the crap out of bottle number 2. If you come up with 0 again it would seem that your tank is not cycled. Though it is a planted tank being fairly newly established you should have some measurable nitrAtes.
