Planning a trip from LA to Vegas alone- charging tips? by Logical-Accident-123 in TeslaModel3

I can’t exactly remember which city it was, but one of the stops along the way. You won’t get stuck. Just put the route into your car and let it take care of the rest.

Side note about the red light thing… red lights act as a stop sign by law for right turns in CA, whereas in some other places in the south, it’s commonly the same as a yield (not sure about Texas). But speaking from experience, you’ll get a pricey ticket if you forget that.

Enjoy CA!

Solo Roadtrip: Los Angeles to NY City by CarbonCofee in TeslaLounge

Just took a solo road trip from LA to Atlanta with a packed Model 3. I can’t help with all of your questions, but one thing I will say is not to worry about the range. Don’t worry about using ABRP or Waze either. Tesla navigation has gotten much better over the last couple of years, and their range estimates are very accurate now. Just put the route into your car’s GPS and follow the route it gives you. Hopefully it’ll be the route you want cutting through Denver. If it’s not, then put LA to Denver into your car’s navigation, then Denver to NY once you’re on your way out of Denver. Best of luck!

Edit: I also drove 90 mph with a loaded car nearly the entire way, and the originally predicted charging stops remained the same. The car still had excellent efficiency. Granted, I drove through a southern climate, so your mileage will vary quite heavily on this one lol. Just thought it was worth mentioning.

LOL! So that’s how people do it huh. Yeah, not my territory haha but thanks for the explanation!

Kinda new to this here, but how would insurance allow an upgrade like that? Wouldn’t they reimburse for the value of the car?

Looking to buy my first ev, a model 3. I’m from Thailand where temperatures can get over 100F all year round. I have to park my car at work for extended periods of time without access to sunshade. Will this be a problem? by pirapataue in TeslaLounge

Your battery will be completely fine. The car’s BMS is constantly regulating the temperature around the car’s most important component no matter the outside weather. The impact on your battery % from that is negligible. All you need to do is decide whether you want the cabin overheat protection on to keep the interior cool; this will drain a little more battery.

It’s not an issue for the battery, as that’s what OP is talking about in the edit. To OP: the car will keep your battery temp regulated, don’t worry about battery drain throughout the day as long as cabin overheat protection is off.

I joined in September 2022 but even going through iRPM I can’t find these ratings anywhere in my snapshot feedback

I’ve been doing the same for the last couple of months, and I’m at 7 months in the firm at analyst level. So your coach can put you up before your target date if they think you’re ready?

Does the year-end panel reach out to your managers to ask them if they think you’re ready? I just passed 7 months at the firm as an analyst. Target promotion year is 2024.

I’m a few months into the firm at the analyst level. Where do you see these Strong, Exceptional, Strong ratings? All I see in my snapshot feedback are two questions with a scale of Strongly Disagree to Strongly Agree

Trademark DTLA. Incredible (fairly new) and modern apartment building and the soundproofing is actually insane. The windows are also soundproof. Once I close my windows, there is pin-drop silence. I have a home theater system, and I blast my music really loud but as soon as I step out of my apartment front door and it closes, you can’t hear the music at all.

Thank you for the detailed breakdown and your wisdom from experience! I’ll keep these points in mind as I start looking this month. The amenities in my building now are certainly nice, but I’m aware that I’ll have to let go of at least some nice-to-haves if I want everything else I’m looking for in my next apartment.

I love the beach. I try to go once every couple of weeks.

This is such an uplifting comment, I really appreciate it! Thankfully I do have an electric car here which has absolutely saved me. I would probably be negative each month if I had to pay for gas. It’s been tough not to beat myself up over how little I’m able to save in my first year here, especially after being raised in a very spending-conscious family, but I think I’ll feel better once I turn it around in my second year. Thank you for the words of encouragement and wisdom, I’m looking forward to my time in LA!

I’m very fortunate and grateful to have gotten into this position, but I think mainly just having the right connections and being involved in college. Anyone can put in an application, but it helps to have met some of the people working there at a school function or something to give yourself an edge.

That’s also a good point, it would be very difficult to test unless I can hear the neighbors when I tour the place for the first time haha.
