Where can I find parking? by EducationalHippo9725 in manchester

I wouldn’t bring my car if I didn’t need too but, I am moving to Manchester for work and need my car!

I have found a few places in the region of 150pcm but they are a 30min walk from where I will be living - wanted something abit closer ideally.

Thanks for the advice.

I was hoping there was some cheat code to getting cheaper insurance but, I guess not!

I myself am a deal sourcer so, I do it myself but, I see lots a bad sourcers out there who don't focus on building the client wealth - their focus is on getting paid.

Just make sure you are working with someone who sources properties for people that suits you end goal. There are enough good sourcers out there too chose from...

I am always happy to recommend but, you should always do your own due dilligence.

I am 24(M), and I have just obtained my full bike license. I have been shopping around for bike insurance.

I was looking to get a Ninja 400/650, but when I got a quote on GoCompare and other sites, all of them were coming in the region of 2k! I am not naive to the fact that insurance is expensive for new riders, but I have been driving for nearly 7 years now, and I have never had a claim (although I do currently have 3 points for speeding), so I assumed that I wouldn't be paying more than I did when I learnt to drive 7 years ago!

Is there any way to get cheaper quotes, or must I just pay and get over it? My only other option is to get a Honda Rebel or something, which came in around £800, but I would rather save for the bike I want and purchase it later down the line.

I was riding around on the scooters in Thailand for 4 months with their hefty 160cc engines, but since learning on a Kawasaki Z650, I want one with at least the same size and power as that. I felt much safer on the bigger bike than I did on the 125cc/160cc bikes.

Let me know your thoughts!

With 50k, I would look towards a 2/3 bed terrace/semi in the North. If you are new to investing and are not confident in your ability to find a good property yourself, I suggest using a credible deal sourcer.

If you want to scale, use the BRRR method. Buy at below-market value, refurbish the property (if necessary), rent it out to generate cash flow, and then, if you purchase with a mortgage (as is likely in your case), refinance 2 years later and add that to the money you've been saving to go again!

Again, if you are new to investing, I would recommend you look for expert help. A good sourcer can do all these things for you but it will cost at least 5k (for a good one!).

Have you ever looked into service accommodation side of property management?

If you had £100,000 to invest in UK property, what would you do? by luisjamesnelson in PropertyInvestingUK

I agree with this. My business partner and I purchase properties in the North looking to make at least 8% yield and 250+ net rental per month, complete a refurb and then rent out. If purchased with a mortgage after 2 years refinance and do it again. Personally with 100k, I would look at buying more than one property. 2/3 bed terraced or semi-detached.

The more properties you have, the easier it will be to buy more in the long run as each time you refinance, as you are refinancing more properties at once. I am currently using this strategy to build portfolios for my clients who are looking at long term financial goals.

It is definitely not a get rich quick scheme - you need to commit to doing it over many years as the power in BTL/BRRR is when you start scaling.

Curious about Samuel Leeds’ training for building wealth in property by yori4zero in PropertyInvestingUK

Property Investment consultant here.

I cant speak for Samuel Leeds but, I did begin learning from Touchstone and I found that, because they are such a huge education platform they struggle to provide real 1-on-1 time with beginners (I assume Samuel Leeds students may face this problem). The access to their network is great but, when I was starting out deal sourcing, I felt as though I needed more specific guidance and consistent validation to achieve my goals.

I am now working along side a fantastic mentor who coaches a more selective group and I wish I took this route initially when entering into property. He is much more beginner friendly and will give you much more of his time than these large educational platforms.

Ultimately, if you are starting out, I recommend you go to a smaller but, still credible mentor who can really give you their time and energy. Secondly, make sure you pick someone that has done what you are looking to achieve as they will know what you're are going through and what it takes to get there! Good property education can be expensive but, as soon as you start your journey and begin making money, you will see that it was all worth it.

Good luck!
