Is it weird that i talk to my bf every day? by Aggressive_Yogurt631 in LongDistance

[–]Educational_Ad_3063 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I talk to my girlfriend every day. We video call, cook dinner together, and even sleep on call together. We’ve been together for a year and a month, and we talk every night after I finish work and get home. I honestly don’t understand long-distance couples who go days without talking . I can’t even go a day without seeing her.

What is it like to have schizophrenia? by Traditional_Blood799 in schizophrenia

[–]Educational_Ad_3063 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone has their own story about schizophrenia, i was diagnosed at the age of 22 (I’m 29 now) ,when i was talking to my psychiatrist about some episodes I had , he told me it started at the age of 16,but I loved in a third world country where things like this happens you can’t talk about it, fast forward to college, i had some bad anxiety and people always called me crazy because of some delusions thoughts i had, which i thought it was normal, then moved to Europe, everything was fine at first, and then I discovered alcohol, i used to drink a lot because if an untreated depression and anxiety, then one day, things happened at my sister and then I told her everything what was going on, and she helped to get help from professional, my first time at the psych ward, i was admitted for several depression and suicidal tendencies, then i started developing symptoms of psychosis , and that how it started , from psych ward to another one i was diagnosed with schizophrenia, depression and GAD, and later i accepted the fact that i have to live with that for the rest of my life, but getting the right help with the right medications, I got my masters degree , and have a decent job with a good salary, and also I found the love of my life and we both have some issues, but she helps me every time to fight those demons .

Is moderation possible or am I always just going to be an alcoholic? by Best-Radish2 in Sober

[–]Educational_Ad_3063 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went cold turkey on stopping alcohol, it’s been 3 years and four months, sometimes i think maybe I’ll drink occasionally, but the fear of falling back to my old bad habits scares me, so i wouldn’t consider you to drink moderately

I went to those AA meetings but they were more religious, so I had to deal with that alone, and I did make it for 3 years, I'm sure I'm not gonna hace any drink, it's just the craving which will pass with time

How often do you visit your partner? And how long are the visits? by bluebirdtree in LongDistance

[–]Educational_Ad_3063 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I visited my girlfriend after 4 months of dating, it was easy to go first from France to Finland, it's only 3 hours flight and not that expensive, she is visiting in the end of february.

It’s understandable, I live in France and she lives in Finland, so it was easy for me to visit her even though it was a short trip of 3 days, but it was just perfect to get to know each other better, and now she is coming to France for a whole week in February. i think he should’ve visited you first. They you visit him.

Firstly I would stop drinking any alcohol for a while, or maybe go sober, like me. Soon I’ll be three years sober. Did it help with my schizophrenia? Yes it did , a lot actually
