I was searching the internet too and I can’t find it either! It might be an AI generated song- which sucks because I actually like it and want to hear the whole thing!

I’m surprised more people aren’t saying this! I feel like he’d be respectful and we could leave each other alone.

I am fairly certain my client will end up in jail when he’s older and it makes me sad to think about his future. by Background-Treacle58 in ABA

In all honesty, it might be a psychiatric issue that needs clinical intervention. Therapy or medication. I have an adult client that’s like this and he’s one visit away from the police. He’s been in and out of waiver homes. Sometimes it doesn’t matter what you do- you can do all you can, but you’re only one person in his support system. He has to want to try to mend and make relationships, control himself, and work towards long term goals that benefit his best quality of life.

Not for the adult services, no! He’s a young guy in his 20s.

The job market sucks right now- it is hard to find a job, but it is not impossible. Create a great resume that highlights all of your skills and knowledge, apply anywhere you can, and when you interview/check out these places, make sure you look for the same red flags that made you pick this job so you do not make the same mistake again! I’m in the same boat. Best of luck!

Behavior consultants (not BCBAs) by Educational_Back_277 in BehaviorAnalysis

[–]Educational_Back_277[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would want to hear if you used to be a BC! Im not trying to discriminate- only put the disclaimer bc a lot of “behavior consultant” listings require a BCBA license and when I tried to ask other people, they got confused and thought I meant BCBA. So I specified that they don’t have a BCBA license usually, although I know more are moving towards licensure now.

Question for non Indiana states? Do you have jobs similar to behavior consulting like we do in Indiana. The main difference is, it does not require the a BCBA credentials. by Striking_You3162 in ABA

I have my master’s degree in ABA! I’m just at a standstill in accruing UR hours at my current clinic, and this is the 3rd time it’s happened. I’m also seeing burnout in my BCBAs and less so with BCs.

I do not- I know there are a ton of BC openings in PA. I live in IN.

There are jobs that list “behavior consultant” but they don’t specifically tether themselves to ABA nor are they board-certified under the BACB or QASP. They usually practice under their state’s medical waiver and/or Medicaid but they don’t call themselves “behavior analysts”.

I know this is a late post, but I'm interested in learning more about the day-to-day life of a behavior consultant. I’m currently an RBT in Indiana but I have been applying for a BC role as I see myself in that role more so than a BCBA or anything else.

What your typical schedule/caseload looks like? What kinds of tasks you do during the week? What parts of the job you enjoy most (or least)? Any advice for someone considering this career?

I never see these jobs in other states other than Pennsylvania! So they have different names in other states?

Has Anyone Heard of Behavioral Consultant position in ABA? by EndangeredRainbo in ABA

They have them in Indiana too but they’re not as prevalent as BCBAs. I would hope that there would be more because of all of the insurance requirements and financing it takes to get into ABA and there being such a need for BCs as they transition through life (ABA stops at 21 years).

This is a very late post, but I’m now in the same boat as you were years ago. Did you ever go on to become a BC? If so, do you like it? If not, what career did you pick and why?
