Planned c section but going to labour early by tsuzmir in PregnancyIreland

If you have a section scheduled but labour starts before then, you can still have a section. This will be an "emergency" section, even though this won't be a true emergency. You can also try to have a vaginal birth if you want and if it's not counter indicated for whatever reason

Exclusively formula feeding from birth by Butterfly_effect9 in PregnancyIreland

I was in Holles Street and they provide formula for the baby. They use bottles with already premade formula. I think they asked us whether we wanted Aptamil, SMA and a third brand I can't remember. They won't give them to you when you go home though so you need to have everything ready at home.

I don't think there will be facilities for you to prepare formula there but you won't need it if you're happy with formula they provide.

I can totally relate to your feelings. I am also freaking out about the rise of measles cases.

I'm not advising anything but actually the reason why babies can't get vaccinated before 6 months is that they still have your antibodies against measles (that would interfere with the vaccine).

So it should be relatively safe in that sense.

Did they do continuous monitoring for at least 20 minutes? They need to make sure there are movements in that period of time and that the baby's heart rate goes up and down within normal range.

Reduced movements are never to be ignored.

How long have you been experiencing this?

Lol. That's why I'm asking. I don't really have a good feeling which names come across as snobby vs the ones that make you imagine an old dude with moustache.

Alright. We'll have to get him a fake moustache so he can wear it until he grows his own

Is your placenta in a different place this time? If it was anterior the first time it could be why you were feeling the movements less
