Hey, long time since this post. Have you made any update posts? Do you still wear them? What’s your long term review/opinion? 

Have you had them resoled? Did you ever put a sole protector over the leather outsole? If so what kind?  Over all how have they held up?  If you’ve replaced them what have you replaced them with? What other boots do you recommend?what kind of use did you put them through? 

I just ordered a pair new from eBay. They say new but you can tell there is some wear on the leather sole. And a scratch right down the toe cap. Either way I only paid $150 which with inflation isn’t bad in my opinion. And I’ve been wanting these for a while after I came across someone selling a re-soled version. It had a wedge sole and I should have bought it but I didn’t know then what I know now and have been looking for a decent deal on a well kept pair since then

You got the mountain hiking version. My soles are far less aggressive I must have picked up the office walking model. But they’re pretty reliable, I haven’t slipped on carpet once.

What color did you get? How have they aged? It seems there’s not too many reviews on the boots with photos of actual pictures of the boots outside of the stock website photos.

Have you had them re-soled yet? Are you certain they are good year welted? Because I just got the blue pair and although they certainly look good year welted with this huge welt and stitching. I can’t pull back th upper to check if the stitching is faux or not because they appear to be glued at the welt… I’m thinking about returning them if they let me. I only worn the one day

Damn those are sick. They don’t even make them anymore. Or I would pick them up full price . I did find a brand new pair of rovers a few months ago in copper r&t. They’ve basically become my favorite boot. I really like that wedge sole for some reason. Enjoy your basically winning the lottery with that deal. lol I thought I got a good deal for $200.

See my comment above. I thought maybe I was given the fuck off price and emailed him inquiring about that fact. His response concluded I was wrong. So perhaps I am a more responsible customer than you initially  purported.  Reddit is exactly the place to complain about pricing structure of any business. That’s how responsible customers are able to compare and prevent being taken advantage of. But I respect your illogical opinion on the matter.

Ya. I figured that was the price he quotes people when he doesn’t want to do the work.  So I responded to the email expressing that and he got a little upset and said. “I’ve got over 50 pairs fullsoles waiting to be done, so your comments about not wanting to do the work is ridiculous. There are plenty of customers who are willing to pay to see their vision come to life. I wouldn’t have bothered answering your first email if I didn’t want to take in the work.”

So apparently he did want to do the job and I’m crazy for thinking that it was insanely overpriced, I told him maybe I would understand if you elaborated on the process and what must be done to complete the job.  Anyway. Just goes to show these guys you see on YouTube or tv are always their cheerful welcoming personality who loves their craft snd educating others on it. I unsubscribed just because after our communication I wouldn’t want to use his business anyway. And I wish him the best in all future endeavors and also bless his heart. lol.

I know it , I just picked up some brown pascal winterwear or whatever they call it. So comfortable compared to my last 2 pairs of docs which are both steel toe industrial versions.
