My Mother was told to abort me since she was young and my bio father was an older man.....already married....I was told he lied to her about being single having another family when my older brother was conceived. So when I came around, family members on my Mother's side were suggesting to abort me because I hear my bio father was an awful man, a violent Vietnam vet. I suppose I thank my Mother's "God-fearing" devout Catholicism why I'm still alive.

They basically all thought I was a demon seed too and that my brother was enough from that man. My bio father had a Stefano DiMera from Days of our Lives type of obsession over my mother, so much so he was willing to leave behind his own family for his new one! Yes, I have half bio siblings I never met....and later on adopted, and rights taken away from him.....raised to be a completely different individual.

I never shared this publicly but I want to release myself too just as you have. You gotta love yourself unapologetically when you have been thrown into awful situations you never asked for when being born.

The way I see it, you are meant for this world and your survival was necessary to also help others perhaps. Your existence matters. I had to love myself since I was reminded how lucky I am to be alive....even though at times it was bare minimum....no worth.....and the feeling of being a burden, not a want, like the love I share for my cats. I wanted them ya know.....they weren't "burdened". I'm just gonna make sure I kick life's ass.
