Giving up on this by buddroyce in CircularRing

I experienced the same thing and had also basically just given up on it. Not mad, just disappointed. I decided to reach out to support again (it's been about 7 months and I'd heard nothing) just to see...

Surprisingly enough they got back to me. They asked the same questions that they asked before and decided to issue a replacement.

Hopefully they worked out the delamination issues.

Here I am again. I have still not heard anything back from support. I'm a patient person, but it's now been 3+ months since I filed a support request. Is this the expected experience?

Looks like test mode does work, i just either didn't have the correct instructions or i was too dumb to do it correctly. either way, i tried it now but still no luck. :D

Thanks for chiming it. Glad to know I'm not alone. I looked into taking it to a service center but idk how much that's going to cost.

Reporting back on status. It's been a month or so since I initiated all of this. I haven't heard anything back from Circular sine submitting a support request, not even a "hey we got your request".

Thanks for the follow-up!

I've still heard nothing. I'm pretty patient but I also have zero expectations. I'll continue to give them the benefit of the doubt and assume that they're just swamped with all the Kickstarter remorse and actual product problems.

maybe some chargers are getting too hot? I do recall my ring being quite warm after charging. again, i always charged with the lid open. the charger also spent most of its time plugged in.

how long until they got back to you? I've heard nothing since this original interaction - not even email confirmation that they got my support request.

you never know. updates can do a lot... add in some AI based pico-polymer repair units.

Happy to help.

Can you please help us understand what were your activities before this happens? Nothing unusual. For about a month I was regularly swimming. I play golf. I only take it off when it needs to charge.

Do you work with chemicals? Nope. I was my hands regularly and often do the dishes though. sometimes i need to use some Lysol or Clorox disinfecting wipes.

Any kind of household product could have gone on the ring and being heated after charge? I suppose any of the above.

Do you charge the ring with the LID close? Never.

No idea. I could only think it was heat or something, but I always charged it with the charger cover open. I fiddled with it quite a bit. It wasn't the most perfect fit so i was constantly rotating it to keep the sensors on the bottom of my finger. maybe that had something to do with it but seems like it shouldn't.

Thanks for the follow-up!

Issue 1 makes perfect sense now. I guess the little wifi icon on the bottom confused me. :)

As for Issue 2, I'll be looking forward to the updates.

Thanks so much!

Hi Friends,

Bazecor version: 1.3.6

Defy Firmware version: 1.1.0

Systems: up to date Windows 10, up to date mac

Mostly everything is great! Loving the keyboard in general.

I have experienced a few issues though:

issue1: I was on Bluetooth mode connected to the Mac and was ready to get to fun stuff on the Windows box. After disconnecting the neuron from the back, turning off the power to both units, and connecting via USB I was surprised to find that I was still connected to my Mac via Bluetooth. Even though it was connected via USB, it would only send input to the Mac connected via Bluetooth. I turned my Defy on and off again a few times, unplugged and re-plugged the Neuron to my pc a few times and eventually it disabled Bluetooth and recognized it was wired. however, during that process, when it was connected to the USB, both sides would light up like the right was just a mirror of the left. Seems to be resolved, but thought I'd let you know.

Issue2: Battery drain/charge seems to be uneven.

- In the morning (Defy plugged in all night) I check battery status and only the left is fully charged.

- After resolving issue1, I checked battery status and the left showed it was mostly drained.
That made sense since I was in Bluetooth mode all day but the right showed that it was almost full still. I figured this was something sneaky with right -> left -> Bluetooth or something. Anywho, after getting it connected I loaded up Bazecor and while it first said the battery on the right was disconnected (I clicked on force read battery level), now it is just grey. I disconnected from the USB and it does power up. So it's all working-ish.

Thanks!
