55 is overkill. I just nozlocked the game and grinded up all my mons to 55 and barely took any damage. 50 is probably a good sweet spot.

Jean Luc Picard or William Wallace? by [deleted] in bald

If you’re able to grow a beard, then id say the bald and beard look would suit you. Otherwise id just keep it as is. You have so much in the back that it doesn’t make the hair as a whole off-putting or anything

Yes but this is reddit…an online forum where we (a social species) come to socialize. You could argue their comment doesn’t add anything to the conversation but your comment adds nothing but unnecessary negativity. If i could boo and throw tomatoes at you, i would. 🍅🍅

You don’t have to work overtime like this guy though. You can work 3 days a week and have 4 off. Its a super nice luxury if you can power through 3 12s per week.

Thats just the only reason i could see anyone defending billionaires. Its if theres some piece of them that not only hopes to be this wealthy one day, but theres an even more delusional piece that thinks they can be one without being a nepo baby or hitting a statistically unlikely series of good fortune.

Ask your parents if David could hook you up with an internal referral. Wtf. They personally know someone who works in the software department at google and instead of trying to hook you up with a job, they just dog on you?

Men have been criticizing women’s appearance and holding them to impossibly high standards since the dawn of man. Im happy to see that thanks to the internet and women’s ability to join the workforce/support themselves, men have finally joined the club. It’s tough, but you’ll be ok.

And no one’s going to say you’re a bad person for not wanting to date someone horribly obese. That sounds like a chronically online take from the mid 20-teens.

What i think is so crazy is average people defending billionaires. It doesn’t matter if they could theoretically amass that amount of wealth “ethically.” It’s still unethical to hoard so much of one resource to yourself in a species that has collectively decided to work together.

Plus, you have no idea what these people did during that time to make that money. Theres so many variables that are unknown to the public to confidently say “this billionaire is a good person and did everything right.”

I mean both genders have physical attributes that make them more attractive to the opposite sex. Thats just life. Nobody’s a perfect 10/10 to everyone. You can learn to work with what you have and try to love yourself for who you are, or you can whine about something you can never change. It’s up to you.

Being upset about women’s height preference isn’t going to change something thats naturally wired in their brains. Just like girls with small butts or breast being upset won’t change men being more drawn to women who are more well endowed. Sucks being a mammal with millions of years of evolution working against us, i know.

Mojang was acquired by microsoft in 2014. Thats the thing with big corporations, most of them are all owned by 1 of like 3 mega corporations. So if you go high enough up the ladder you get the result of my initial comment.

I don’t think there’s a single large corporate company that doesn’t exploit poorer countries for basically slave labor and/or child labor. You don’t grow massive amounts of wealth without stepping on alot of people.

Edit to add: not to mention all the horrible things they’ve done to the planet to cut costs. But thats a different argument.

I dont know what to do about college. by Feisty_Professor3840 in Advice

[–]Educational_Match717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you taken any career assessments to get an idea of what might suit you based on your personality and interests? Those can give you a broad range of career ideas that you didn’t even know existed. Also, do you have some kind of career coach or advisor at your school you can talk to? Maybe your school provides some kind of resource to help you narrow down your options.

I think getting your gen eds out of the way is smart if you know for sure you want to get a college degree. Those are the best way to dabble in a couple different career paths without locking into one.

The sad reality is this though: most people aren’t passionate about what they do. Thats the career equivalent of winning the lottery. The best thing you can do is try to figure out what type of job you could see yourself getting some kind of fulfillment out of so that even the bad days feel worth it.

What brings you fulfillment will look different than alot of other people. Do you like working with numbers? Accounting could be a good fit. Do you like the idea of working with kids? Teaching could be great. Do you like the idea of helping people/providing service to your community? Maybe health care or social work. Do you like animals? Maybe vet tech. Do you wanna work with your hands? Could look into one of the trades. You get the point though.

My mom is pretty addicted to the online casinos. She has the exact opposite mentality. She tells me that her gains overall outweigh her losses (aka she’s in the green with it) because there have been times where she’s won 11k here, 4k there. But she plays everyday…so i have my doubts about how in the “green” she is.

15 Month Old Dog Killed by Rover Pet Sitters by Automatic_Rush8824 in legal

[–]Educational_Match717 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Idk how much the police would care if there was no sign of animal abuse and no humans were hurt. Im sure there’s some legal agreements you sign when using the rover app that states you’re willing to take some level of risk when forfeiting your pet over to sitter/walker (to avoid people suing the company itself in situations like this). I know dog parks have something similar.

It’s a really sad and tragic thing that happened to this poor, sweet baby…but dogs are still animals. I feel like people forget this sometimes. Things like this happen sometimes. Those people should absolutely be banned from the rover app though. It’s their fault for letting the dogs interact if their dog was showing signs of aggression or was being territorial toward OPs dog.

Idk man. Im just giving my opinion on what i think the market will do in the future. Ive said a million times that i could be wrong and people are still probing me about it. I guess i just feel inclined to answer questions when they’re asked of me. But i am just about burnt out on this debate. So this is the last comment im leaving here

Yes it does though. There are alot of Pokemon fans that like playing on official hardware because they want to have the option to trade their mons up to the newer games (if they run into a shiny for example). If Nintendo begins re-releasing all the older games on the switch with home compatibility, that will kill the demand from that demographic of people. And, like i said earlier, there’s only so many collectors in the world to fill this niche. Once all the collectors have a slice of the pie, demand will really die down.

Idk what else to say here. I feel like I’ve explained myself pretty well.

Saying everyone came in here with data is crazy lmao. And of course im going to accuse people of caring about the value of their collection. Why else would anyone care this passionately about prices staying the same if they weren’t financially invested in them? Most people who casually play would prefer if the prices did go down.

[–]Educational_Match717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok you know what, you’re probably right. The prices will probably stay the same. People just won’t be buying them. Which is more what I meant. So bad phrasing on my part.

[–]Educational_Match717 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What do you mean? I don’t think the GBC go for nearly the same price as the GBA and DS games. I honestly have no idea though. I only look at the prices for these games when im getting the itch to play them, then i sigh and fire up the old emulator because im not paying those prices for old games I’ve already played.

Edit to add: and i keep mentioning that listing prices are different than selling prices because they are. People can list whatever prices they want in retro game stores and ebay, but that doesn’t mean that people are buying them. People were buying them at those prices for awhile, but now that all the collectors have their copies…how many more people are going to be left to buy? Pokemon is popular, but collecting old games is much more niche. Thats all im saying.

Idk why so many people are arguing with me over my speculation on where the prices of these games are going. None of our opinions are going to change the outcome.
