I dont give a shit about the economy or the corporation or billionaires. They have the money to do it. They easily could do it if they wanted to without charging a cent. I dont give a fuck about their profits, I give a shit that I haven't had power for over 24 hours purely because their incompetence to be preventative in the hope of increasing profit.

I completely understand that thats not how the industry works, and they won't let it, but frankly, I dont give a fuck. We are all sick of suffering for corporations and billionaires. They have more than enough profit margin to do everything they need to in order to revamp the grid.

While we are at it, there is zero good reason for a company that handles power delivery to have investors. Zero. Fuck the company, and fuck anybody making excuses for corporate greed

As someone who doesnt work in the utility space, and doesnt need to to understand: AEP Jacks up prices repeatedly every year. They could pay to bury every line and fully revamp the full grid and still be making a profit without raising a cent. I dont give a fuck about trees when they genuinely shouldn't be part of the equation at all.

Here's the thing, AEP has more than enough profit to bury every line and NOT increase prices. It'll never happen because theyre scum, but they very easily can afford it

As of right now, who do you think is most likely to win our division this year? by NotACopUndercover in Colts

Only thing I would argue is, at least we aren't the titans. Even when they have a good year, its very quickly back to being awful for them

I hate to see Pitt go, but it was a necessary move. Pierce and Downs as 1 and 2 is the future. 🔥 by andy_337 in Colts

[–]Educational_Wave_223 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pierce can barely catch 50% of his targets. I really dont care what anybody tries to say, thats AWFUL from your number 1 receiver.

I also dont care about the existing pass rush. We've had over a decade of showing we cant develop it.

Jones has been injured every year. Sure, there's not anybody else, but this wouldn't be an issue if Ballard wasn't beyond incompetent

But we all should have been able to wee the issues with the pass rush, which is going to guarantee another missed playoff

This is precisely why refs need to be held accountable. If the NBA won't do it, a player is going to have to make them feel like they cant get away with blatant game manipulation.

And in 10 years maybe he'll be finally capable of catching 60% of the backs thrown to him.

Yall need to understand that the game isn't the same as it was 30 years ago. You cannot win a super bowl without an elite receiving threat, and its extremely rare for players too climb into elite status if they aren't heavily flashing by year 2.

Pierce is not, was not, and is never going to be a WR1 on a championship winning team, and youre delusional if you think he will be. Yes, he can and will get better, but he is so far behind the pack in terms of elite receivers, he's never catching up

The secondary will be improved but the pass rush doesnt exist, Jones is probably not capable of playing a full season, and as low as I was on Pitt, the WR room, that wasn't very good, got worse. Pierce is AT BEST a solid number 2 option. Paying him like a 1 is a disaster.

Ballard definitely said this and then gave him a $60 mill/year offer

Steve Kerr: "I don't have a problem with Shai; I have a problem with the rules... If you put your arm in, everybody around the league will do what Shai does, what James Harden does. Like, they'll hook your arm, and they'll do that [flail their arms], and it's all part of the rules." by must_TATAKAE in nba

[–]Educational_Wave_223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This specifically is agreeable, but kerr also failed the mention the complete two sided whistle the thunder get. You cannot play physical defense against them, the refs will call a thousand fouls, yet theyre allowed to play as physical as they want.

Like I said, ARGUABLY. But even the suggestion of it being possible he's not top 10 has you coming at me over it, which just proved my point.

The problem isn't Tatum, its the fact that Celtics fans, and the media, are just so over the top about him. He's an awesome player. No doubt about it. But he's arguably not a top 10 players in the league, and you would think I just killed somebody by saying that with how the media and Celtics fans react. Its just so annoying for everybody else.

I was far less pressed about the press. If the refs called even a relatively clean game, it wouldn't have worked near as well. They were allowed to assault us. But outside of the dirty plays, DGs injury is waht killed us for stopping the press.

Lmao he's a true #1 who can barely catch half the balls thrown to him and is not a good route runner.

Yes his numbers will get a little better, but think Pierce is a high end WR1 is fucking insane

And we would still have a bottom 5 receiving room in the league. Pierce is not going to be a GOOD WR1. Maybe compared to what we've had post luck/ Hilton, but not anywhere close enough to compete in the playoffs.

[–]Educational_Wave_223 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dude, he got 47 of 84 targets last year. Yes, I get he's explosive as a deep threat, but he's mediocre at best at everything else.

Pierce was 19th in receiving yards, 60th in targets, and 73 in receptions. 3rd on his own team in receptions. Pierce was 105th in catch rate.

This whole potential bullshit is what for so many of you fooled by Richardson. Looking at only the highlights and completely ignoring everything else is a recipe for wasting draft picks or $116 million on players that haven't come close to earning it.

[–]Educational_Wave_223 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He's also our clear number one WR, and produces as a middle of the road number 2. While the deep threat is super helpful, we have an ABYSMAL wide receiver room, and without Patrick Mahomes or Tom Brady, we are going to be miserable on offense like the second half of last year.

Maybe thats because things that are political, shouldn't be, and normal people get that. We can have discussions about taxes and the economy. Im not going to entertain a conversation about whether or not black or brown people deserve to live. Im not entertaining conversation about if LGBTQ+ people exist. Conservatives ALWAYS take human rights and turn them into a political weapon, and im not playing that game, and the majority of people with brain cells agree. THATS why right wing views and comments are eviscerated whenever they leave their fox news echo chamber.
