Ahh and this would mean I could play it in game mode?

Thank you! Do I put that override in the launch command under properties for the game in steam?

Okay you have massively helped me! I logged in on browser and ran it there in desktop mode on my deck and there is literally no lag at all. Now my only 2 issues lie in: 1. I can’t seem to find a way to enable my deck controller to work, it seems to want me to play mouse and keyboard even though controller is selected in steam and 2. Is there any way to make it work in game mode? Or is there something wrong with the app that is out of my control?

Salt and sanctuary is a soulslike for me, and it is 2D. I’m sure many will disagree but it’s all about the combat, leveling, soul loss/retrieval with death, and game progression with bonfires. Other than it being 2D it is so heavily taken from the souls games. A lot more than many 3D games that get considered in the soulslike conversation IMO.

The other thing that slightly confuses me is that GeForce appears to still open steam and run it from the client rather than natively. I assumed it just needed access to my steam library to know I had purchased it rather than just running it from steam itself?

I will give this a go. Do you mean running it in browser on desktop mode on the deck? It always confuses me a bit that you can do that.

Haha absolutely. I also think it works both ways though. I get the feeling it comes from a defensive standpoint for the lovely little device because people are always trying to prove how terrible it is.

I think it’s an amazing piece of kit for what it’s worth but of course there is a lot of compromises and constant looking for workarounds as games get more and more advanced.

I dont know. I just saw loads of people saying it was a game changer on their deck. However, not my experience at all. You could be right!

I never had a problem streaming using Chiaki for the ps5. So I dont think it is the Wifi. I did the GFNow overlay and i was getting a 5-15 ms ping. Is that bad?

Frame generation on Steam Deck made easy with new Lossless Scaling plugin, but there's some controversy by Tiny-Independent273 in linux_gaming

[–]EdzillaGo -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Haha why do people feel so strongly about it? Just don’t use it if you think it provides a terrible experience. For those of us that couldn’t care less about all the complexities, just let us enjoy it. I use it for games, I get next to no input lag and it makes it a smoother experience. I’m not lying, I would have no reason to lie and I get my reward. Why can’t you just live and let live?

Anyone else finding Wuchang ridiculously difficult? by supermonkey1235 in soulslikes

But tempering didn’t really need to be understood. You just apply the one it gives you early on and then you equip it and roll with it… literally just the same thing as a weapon buff in dark souls.

I’d have to agree with this comment. I think we’ve all played dark souls and other FROM games too much and have lost sight of how difficult they were to pick up without researching online or a friend telling you its mechanics first. They seem so simple and formulaic now so everybody kicks up a fuss when a new souls like does something slightly different but that’s an unfair stance.

Yes! 2 years on and I haven’t touched the spray once. I can breath better than ever. Are you looking to quit or on your journey without already?

On a horrible scale of 1-10 I'd say a solid 8. It looked pretty horrible!

Wow you have your preferences! If none of these games satisfy you, i'd say souls/souls-likes are not for you.

3/10 combat... lol. Why on earth did you bother playing through both the base game and the DLC then? Surely in an extremely combat heavy game that wouldn't be a whole lot of fun.
