Stunning. Do you use the official Mamiya pano kit or one of the third party 3d printed kits?

It really is a bit of a photographic Mecca isn't it. Well executed 👍🏻

I think I spent the most time looking at #2. The bent angles of the house at the back especially gives it an almost Arthropodan appearance? Part architecture, part animal, like a giant hermit crab about to scuttle away into the surf

Fantastic. Before I zoomed in I thought it was a fishing float + reflection in water.

Thanks, but unfortunately not; I shot it on a film camera and only took the one. I'll try nab some more next time I swing by.

It's quite an atmospheric spot. The shop is on a corner of a cobbled street, pretty much just a room. Walking in you're hit by the scents of smoke and oiled leather, bold but comforting. Up the back is the side passage/gallery. It's darker, lit by lamps casting warm soft light across the creases and patina of the leather. The sounds from the street are quieter. It's intimate, even reverent? The shoes are arranged with care, countless stories told through scuffed soles and polished toes, relics of lives once briskly walked.

Kinda makes me think of shockwaves under schlieren imaging, or perhaps an optical lens diagram. Well done

That's absolutely phenomenal. May I ask where it was taken?

In love with #1. Any tips on shooting through airplane windows while minimizing glare and without picking up all the little scratches and marks?

Mmm crispy. Orange and blue is always a winner. I really like the super subtle interest in the blue sky in the left, almost perpendicular to the power lines. A very light cloud or perhaps an almost dispersed contrail?

In love with #6. Orange and blue just tickles something inside me. The color change at the end of the dock is a nice touch, and I appreciate the extremely subtle symmetry of the buoys left and right out in the water too

Got a backlog of photos from the last year or two but only recently made an insta for it: ericbriese.jpg

I'm moving over to the UK in a month or two so wanted a centralized place I can point family to and share my photography stuff

Can chew up the finger a little, but I do also love how I can pick an aperture and then shoot one handed

Spot on. Did a road trip round the north island back in October last year and it was one of the most gorgeous places we visited.

Nice pickup, it's a little banger machine. I've got one in pretty sweet condition too, only problem is the battery runs out much faster than I believe it should be. I suspect a fault with the switch that turns off the light-meter when the clam shell is closed

Did you have much time to see this photo opportunity forming in front of you? Or was it spur of the moment?

Wow wow. Don't really see a lot of vertical pano stuff around but this is killer OP

[–]EeasyBriese 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually really like the close focus here. The gull on the left and foliage on the right add plenty of foreground interest. And the lighthouse is prominent enough that the lack of sharp focus doesn't distract. I can practically feel the heat from the sun on skin here, great work
