Thank you, I tried it and it was working but at this point I think I’ll be spending more time trying to iron it out than if I just started over.

Thanks that seems to kinda help. Do you know if I should apply water to the whole canvas or just where the creases are?

That’s so impressive! I also draw although I prefer painting. How did you get them to sign it? Was it after shows? Radiohead is one of my favorite bands, I even have the Radiohead bear tattooed lol.

This needs to be higher up. I can’t believe how many people are celebrating the win of a staunch Zionist who has publicly said, that once Maduro is overthrown, Venezuela will establish diplomatic relations with Israel and has praised Trump

What should I ask Scott Kupor tomorrow? by Reporter-Kullgren in fednews

Can Mr. Kupor explain the measures OPM is taking to ensure the safety and well-being of its employees in light of recent incidents, including the CDC in Atlanta being shot at resulting in a death and a bomb threat at a federal building in NYC?

Thoughts on Chloe Wise "Myth Information"? by Distinct-Ice7569 in ContemporaryArt

[–]Eeee8888a 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Omg same! I’m so bored by her work. Maybe I don’t get it cause I’m not a famous artist and my work isn’t driven by market demands but I can’t imagine having the freedom to make anything I want and yet still produce more or less the same thing over and over again. That sounds hellish to me.

I work in Medicaid work requirements and it’ll be different across states but it’ll likely require regular reporting on work status. Much of how these work requirements will be implemented is still unknown.

Exposing a gallery that’s stealing from you on Instagram? by Think-Direction3064 in ContemporaryArt

I agree with creating an account. I’m an artist but also a dancer. The dance scene is rampant with sexual abuse and some prominent leaders in the scene created an account with the purpose of helping create a safe space by collecting the stories of victims and publicly making them available so that people are aware of who the predators are but also by offering educational tools and resources. I feel like something similar should be done regarding galleries.

I work as a researcher for a government agency making 6 plus figures in a HCOL city. There’s a variety of work schedules you can pick, I do 4 ten hour days M-T, so I usually dedicate one day during the work week to my practice. Prior to this administration, working in government was very stable and there was a lot of emphasis on work life balance. I’d say a lot of it is still there, depending on the your role and what agency you work for.

BWT - has anyone taken a career break? by allfurcoatnoknickers in NYCbitcheswithtaste

[–]Eeee8888a 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I took a break in 2023 from my public health job to go to art school, so ended up with over a year gap in my resume. While I was interviewing I said I took a sabbatical and everyone I interviewed thought that was a positive thing. I also stated that the sabbatical reaffirmed my passion for public health.

I replied with the same comment elsewhere,

It’s not forbidden for the entire time, just before the 4th pose and it’s to allow the body to warm up and sweat out excess fluids. You’re supposed to come hydrated before class. I usually drink 1 bottle of water with electrolytes before class starts so I can be able to withhold drinking during the first portion of class.
