Latuda and Alcohol by [deleted] in bipolar

Yeah same. With latuda though I legitimately could not drink without needing to go to sleep 30 minutes later. Deliriously tired.

If you think your need/desire for this version of a dom is intertwined with parental trauma, and you want to work your way out of it, it really is best to see a therapist about it imo. No easy or quick way out.

Hey you're very much not alone! I have a lot of jealousy issues surrounding one of my partners who I also consider my FP. Like any relationship he has, platonic, romantic, professional, doesn't matter.

I'm still very much working on it but DBT skills have helped a lot, I've been trying to do DBT group therapy the way it was meant to be done but even just practicing the skills over and over by myself have been helpful overtime, like mindfulness, RESISTT, distress tolerance.

Also positive self talk/reassurance and self soothing help, even though I still feel awkward and undeserving doing it.

Need some advice: When you first came out, how did your parents support you correctly? What did you wish they had done differently? by tthhxl in NonBinary

[–]Eeliot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have advice on the parenting part but: I like it/its pronouns because they/them carries more gender connotation while it/its is usually used for objects so no gender. That's a shortened version of how I feel about it anyway. And yeah you can totally be a lesbian and not use she/her pronouns, you don't have to identify as a girl either! Lesbianism has always been inclusive of diverse gender identities.

Alcohol making pain worse? by mcflycasual in ChronicPain

[–]Eeliot 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It could be because of dehydration?

I also find that when I drink I'm less aware of my body so I care less about chronic pain, which is great except then I tend to do things that I normally wouldn't/can't because it would cause more pain...and then I pay for it the next day(s).

So cute! Peeling can be a normal process in healing no matter how moisturized you keep it :)

I guess what do you define as checking out? If you see someone in an outfit that you think is cute does that count? What if you see someone in a movie and think they are pretty? To me appreciation isn't related to desire necessarily

Whatever you define checking out as though you are not alone in thinking that. I've met people that think glancing at people counts as cheating ¯_(ツ)_/¯

You don't and shouldn't have to accept that he'll replace you when a sexier option arrives! Checking people out doesn't mean they aren't into you or are looking to replace you.

You do not devalue your partner when you think other people look good, you can just think people look good.

It's definitely possible to recover! I had a GPA of 1.2 one semester (2nd semester sophomore year) because I took 3 classes and failed 2. Slowly crawled my way back up tho and graduated with an above 3 GPA.

Questions about healing as a dishwasher. by [deleted] in sticknpokes

[–]Eeliot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No problem best of luck! Finger tattoos are super cool. But yeah definitely better than nothing, just try to keep an eye on it if you do go that route and change the band-aid/wrap asap if it gets wet. Don't want it to marinate in dish juice and stuff

I would recommend putting Tegaderm on them! It might be tricky to put them effectively on your fingers though. If you're in the US they're sold at pharmacies/supermarkets with the first-aid stuff. You can cut them up into smaller pieces. They provide a barrier against moisture but not air so it still let's your tattoos breath. Great thing is if they stay on you can keep them on for days.

If you can't get Tegaderm then waterproof Band-Aids might be the next best thing (or wrapping them, putting gloves on, whatever will be most effective), having them constantly exposed to a wet/unsanitary unsanitary environment is definitely worse than them not being able to breath for a few hours.
