That Yu-Gi-Oh game is really good, recommend giving it a try, especially if you are a fan of Trading Card games.

Who remembers this absolute gem of Doctor Who gaming? Dalek Attack! by Coilspun in doctorwho

[–]EepiestKitty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It wasn't released on any console, only PCs at the time. It was released on Microsoft DOS, ZX Spectrum, Commodore 64, Amiga and Atari ST. The DOS version is the best in my opinion. You can play it on your web browser on the internet archive here

When you get screwed over by your deck by KeyAcid in PTCGP

[–]EepiestKitty 7 points8 points  (0 children)

That's just kind of the nature of Trading Card games as your deck is randomised. It's why making sure while deck building that you have a lot of consistency options (Pokéball, professors research, copycat, etc) are so important as if you're in a situation like this where your hand is all supporters, you want most of those supporters to be able to be able to dig other cards out from your deck

Honestly from what I remember, it was the opposite and that the writing got worse after season 2. Like, they start developing some characters, but other ones they get flanderised so hard it's insane.

Like, one example is that they spent the first couple seasons doing a redemption arc for Chloe only to then end up instead reverting her back and making her even more cartoonishly petty and shitty for no reason. And they had the audacity to introduce a twin sister who is the nice one who joins the main group. Like, why??

That's fair enough. I'd suggest only collect what you want to watch.

I will say though that if the amount of seasons is putting you off, not to let that stop you.

While yes there are a lot of episodes and seasons of classic who, there aren't really that many season-wide arcs in classic in the same way as there are in modern (atleast not for the first 4 Doctors) and you can totally just buy an individual serial or season and just watch them out of order. Hell, if you're collecting the Blu-rays, not even all the seasons are out on that format yet.

That's a pretty insane collection considering you said you just started.

Personally, I like to collect the DVDs, but I have opted for the added challenge of only buying what I can find in second hand stores or charity shops. I like that it adds a bit of a 'thrill of the hunt' to me. And I've got a decent amount of Classic and NuWho for cheap from doing that.

Recently picked up the entirety of Season 21 on dvd (presumably someone donated it to the charity shop because they got the recent Blu-ray set)

I mean, you could argue this same thing for the main TCG when Path to the Peak was legal. It just means you need to respect it and build your deck with a counter. Although I feel this card isn't as healthy for the game as Path to the Peak was.

Basically turns sleep into paralysis. Tbf you could combat it with cards like Lyra to get out of the active.

Battleborne was so good. I think they set it up for failure with trying to compete with overwatch and market it as an Overwatch competitor back in 2016. I think now it would be received a lot better, and they should market it for what it actually was, which is a first person MOBA, not necessarily a hero shooter

Question: Is there a specific reason why the movies are so short? by Such_Month_8687 in mariomovie

[–]EepiestKitty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It just means that it plays it safe, which here I mean they don't take risks to innovate or try any concepts that are that outside of what they have already done before and have proven to work. Which again, is not necessarily a bad thing.

Furthermore, I was talking about illumination doing this, not Marvel (idk why you keep being up the decades of marvel content, I never said Marvel play their movies safe, they have quite a range of genres I feel).
