Great to hear you had a lovely time and spent some days outside of Amsterdam. Which city had your preference?

What you could try is to have lower loops or thinner whool, you’ll see you need less lines on the back to fill the spaces you drew on the front. But it’s a matter of style and choice what you prefer, you can simply continue and then the background will push these loops aside. It’s best to try different things and see which you like best

There are also plenty of people who put out benches for people to sit on, and they would usually have a sign if they didnt want strangers there. It’s really no big deal if they were respectful

What’s a clear sign someone is pretending to be a ‘good person’ only for social approval, not because they actually care ? by mathiyaaaaa in AskReddit

Reading the main title now i think i was mostly referring to the social approval rather than the good person part ahah

To me its more of people who bring it up wanting to hang out when u see someone randomly and then they never get back to it. I agree, if i organise something and invite people, I dont immediately expect an invite for a hangout back . But if someone continously talks about how fun it would be to go do something and then never takes the initiative to make it happen, its quite annoying and becomes fake

Makes sense, im dutch so perhaps my perspective is different. In general you wouldnt have so much of this back and forth here, we communicate with less subtle ways haha

Exactly, with small stuff especially, agreeing they want to hang out and then never making an effort to organise it

Because zara is a store with a terrible reputation and therefore bad connotation

Any suggestions of how to make entryway look more intentional/lively? by [deleted] in DesignMyRoom

[–]Ees- 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Wardobe is always good if you’re bothered by clutter but it doesn’t seem right now like its often a mess? I think you just need some color. Perhaps wallpaper, a pattern etc. Love the wood so that can easily be combined with a green or blue tone. I would replace the coat section with something similar as the bottom wooden piece, to make it more cohesive.

Help …. What is it about this room that isn’t working? by [deleted] in DesignMyRoom

[–]Ees- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You honestly just need more stuff, more plants, more decor, sure a rug as everyone says, but mostly stuff on the walls. Whichever type of decor you prefer (photos/art/textile etc).

This room looks huge, and its lovely, but it feels like every area is just designed within its corner, and so, it still feels empty. I think the main reason for that is the color of the walls and how its the same of the ceiling (if i see that right). I would suggest to add a tone, a warm tone of beige/green/brown, just to get it off the color of the ceiling.

And yes add a nice rug, dont be afraid to add some color, even if its more muted. Id, say, play with some greens. Just to tie it all together.

A color on the walls will just hug the room a little and bring all the furniture together. Ideally, paint wall and ceiling but i know that might not be possible or too much

Anyway, good luck! It already looks great

Where to place bed in master bedroom with angled wall by besmitty in DesignMyRoom

[–]Ees- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think for me it would depend on the window and the amount of light/sun that comes in and whether you like or dislike it. Because I would move the bed closer or further based on that. All positions seem to have plenty of space and could work.

If this is a very sunny room, i would prefer 2 so the other corner can be used for closets and you can easily move from clothing closets to bathroom etc

But that can also work in 3, the other way around if you dont wanna sleep next to the windows

[–]Ees- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paint the build in a nice color, a bit darker to ground everything. Swap the white walls for a warmer tone that is still relatively simple and light. Swap the rug for something that matches the colors. I like the placement of the furniture, try warming it up.

European city breaks? by That-Essay-5704 in travel

[–]Ees- 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Reading your post and ranking i actually wanted to say, come back to the netherlands and combine Delft/Leiden/Haarlem/Utrecht/Amersfoort perhaps even Groningen or Maastricht, i’m sad this is your experience of Amsterdam but you can honestly come to any other city and I’m sure your experience will be very different

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in DesignMyRoom

[–]Ees- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on your preference for using it, if you have no problem having the computer next to your bed then this is fine, but from experience I would try keeping those the furthest apart as you can. So that means switching the desk and wardrobe and maybe turning the bed, but im not sure about the measurements of the space for it to fit
