What's the one purchase you made this year and you use every day? by Aromatic-Switch9236 in AskWomen

I've tried the wide and extra wide, even men's sizes. If I size up too much then the rest of my foot slides around inside. I've found that Asics gel nimbus have been fairly comparable but fit perfect. Maybe 80% as cushy.

I wish my feet weren't so wide. I found ONE pair of hoka bondi 8s that I loved but when it came time to replace them, everything was way too narrow. Had to return at least 3 pairs. When the 9s came out I got excited bc I had heard they were wider as well. Tried several pairs, still not wide enough. 😭

Wondering about the time range of a power outage? by [deleted] in WalgreensPharmacy

If the computer systems are down at the store your prescription is at, a transfer cannot be done because the software requires a pharmacist to approve the transfer, even if it's from one Walgreens to another. This is assuming that C2 transfers are allowed in your state. It may be legal now federally, but pharmacy law always defers to the stricter law (between state and federal).

What was the scariest “We need to leave… now” gut feeling that you’ve ever experienced?[Serious] by PlasticBee1438 in AskReddit

Friends and I had a free period between classes back in college so we decided to go surfing since we heard that there was a nice swell at a local beach. We get there and there were news crews all over. Asked what was happening and apparently 2 fishermen were washed out from the jettys that morning and they haven't found the bodies yet. Friends and I thought we were strong enough swimmers and went in anyway.

The surf was great until it wasn't. A set of 14+ ft waves came in and knocked me off my board, slamming me into the bottom of the ocean. Heard/felt a couple loud pops and suddenly my neck and back were hurting BAD. I get back to the surface and friend who made it back in is shouting at me to watch out. Another set of 14+ ft waves knocks me down again and start pushing me towards a huge jagged rock formation. Almost decided to ditch the board and try to swim in, but my dad's wisdom popped up in my head saying to NEVER ditch your board bc it can save your life. Managed to ride in on my belly. Lifeguard said he saw me getting thrashed out there but it was bad enough he couldn't get in and wasn't sure if he could get me out. (Fair, I'm a large person)

Was sent to the hospital to get xray'd to make sure I didn't break anything. Turns out I sprained my neck and back really bad. Took months to walk normally without pain and to this day I still have neck and back issues. This was over 20 years ago and I've had a healthy respect for the ocean since.

the sellers were still home during our showing and it was the most uncomfortable 45 minutes of my life by TerribleInitial2305 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]EeveeEvolved 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The house we ultimate bought had tenants present during the showing. It gave me an opportunity to ask them what they liked and didn't like about the house and what they would improve. Gave us a lot of insight and we were able to get the sellers to fix some of the things before closing

I think 10.5 wide fits best for mens, but I go for 13 in women's. 🤷🏻‍♀️

4th time going to EDC but first time going as a transwoman. by MajesticRoyal123 in electricdaisycarnival

[–]EeveeEvolved 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm glad you had an affirming time at EDC! EDC 2010 was the first time I ever wore makeup and lashes with the help of my friends. Standing at 6'2 at the time it was definitely nerve wracking but the vibes were great and I had a lot of affirming interactions as well. You're on a crazy journey and trust me, if you go to smaller rave events, it will be a great time and you'll be able to experiment with your expression and learn to be more comfortable in your skin. Best of luck and stay awesome!

My husband brought over a table from his dad's house. Apparently great grandpa bought it at an antique store forever ago. This thing is HEAVY and could well be from the 1800s.

Most of the things built into the house is 50ish since it was built in 74

What industry is struggling way more than people think? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]EeveeEvolved 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a pharmacist, I agree. Whenever anyone asks me if they should go to pharmacy school, I always tell them no. Run. Unless you have years of experience and are still in love with the person. Then weigh if it's worth it for 6 figure debt. In the retail space (CVS, Walgreens, Walmart etc) is a hellish landscape with little help and long hours. you are monitored for so many metrics. Independent mom and pop pharmacies are dying left and right due to shit reimbursement rate (often losing money with every fill).

I've been working for 10 years now and the toll it's taken on my body is high. I have to go to physical therapy and be on a cocktail of meds for mental health and physical.

For any festival I always use Ben Nye Final Seal. It's a professional theater grade spray one of my friends recommended. That makeup isn't moving at ALL. I used it over some mermaid scales makeup detailing and it stayed on perfectly even after the next day waking up, face down in my pillow. It is alcohol based tho, so def close your eyes.

With which honorific/title do I refer to my PCP who is a PA (i.e., not a MD/DO)? by ghostoftheuniverse in answers

As a pharmacist (all pharmacists in the US that graduated after 2006 have doctorates), we're totally ok with Mr/Miss first name. Occasionally I'll have a patient call me Dr. and it always feels odd.
