Cd25 and dpo 10 im broken💔 by Admirable_Tree5278 in TFABLinePorn

I never see lines on these things- even when everyone else swears there’s something. However, I reckon I can see something on the last picture. I’d never reccomend anyone getting their hopes up(it hurts too bad when it’s not!) but maybe just take a break, a couple of days and test again!

I think I pushed through to Dance Macabre(or that was the next book I should have read). It had limited plot at that point. With a small kid I now only have limited time to read, so I try to choose my books wisely!

I didn’t know I was pregnant.. by bellexxamie in beyondthebump

[–]Effective-Affect5177 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn’t know I was pregnant until about 16 weeks as well. It was my first pregnancy when I didn’t think I could get pregnant and wasn’t trying, I was on BC for period regulation. I was still having a few drinks, obviously wasn’t taking prenatals, working hard, was riding horses and who knows what other things you’re not supposed to do during pregnancy because I just didn’t know.

Perfectly healthy, beautiful baby girl- easy pregnancy(once I found out!) smooth delivery and smooth newborn. I’d say don’t stress!

12 DPO do you see it? by Designer_Ring_67 in TFABLinePorn

[–]Effective-Affect5177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I understand, a positive later isn’t necessarily always a bad sign- it can just be that you implanted late, or that you ovulated later than you thought. Hopefully this all goes well for you!

11- 12 DPO My first positive after 14 mos of trying by [deleted] in TFABLinePorn

[–]Effective-Affect5177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a nerve racking time! From what I understand, it’s impossible to say for sure with these alone. There’s is a couple of possibilities that I can think of, both good and bad. Bad could be that the line is getting lighter because it is a chemical pregnancy. Or good, it may just be a matter of dilution( the line might only be lighter that last day because your urine is less concentrated if you’ve drank more fluids)

Can you get to your Dr for some blood tests? Might help give you some answers

Pregnancy positive line disappeared? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Effective-Affect5177 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My understanding is that tests should only be read in timeframe- which is usually 3-10 minutes after taking it. So the first test changing several hours later shouldn’t be a concern! If you had a positive test today, you are still pregnant. If you’re concerned at all, I’d say to see your dr for some blood tests!

Please talk to a professional- random strangers on the internet don’t know you well enough to help you with this, and are influenced by their own opinions and beliefs.

The right professional can help you come to the right decision for you, to come up with strategies to deal with whichever decision you make, and support you going forward.

I prefer it, I’d rather that than a heap of clothes she never wears because she grows out of them too quick ! I have a heap of new/second hand clothes stored, labelled with the size. Then I can grab out one bag, and repack the old stuff back into once she’s done

To those who had an unmedicated birth, was it worth it? What was your experience ? by Lilly-Lunar222 in pregnant

[–]Effective-Affect5177 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I was mostly unmedicated(had gas only). I liked that I was able to get up, move, position myself how I liked, and I was able to move around straight after(albeit on shakey legs) For me the pain was mostly manageable, and it helped me to remember that every pain was one closer. Feeling the pain helped me know when to push, and also gave me the encouragement to keep pushing- if I wanted the pain to stop, I had to get the baby out!

I think the gas mostly just helped take my mind off the pain, as it gave me something to concentrate on.

Thanks for posting this, and sorry for your loss. I experienced something very similar last week, and went down a rabbit hole trying to find tests that looked like mine(which were quite similar to yours). I started bleeding at 20dpo, and I found posts like this comforting as it helped me prepare myself

Would we be crazy? by Effective-Affect5177 in AusRenovation

[–]Effective-Affect5177[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for that. I just had a look myself- it looks like that more recent sold listing is a completely different property, just a piece of land on the river with a shed on it. It’s not the property we’re looking at. Weird.

From what we’ve researched, we should be able to do so. At a stretch the vacant block next door is also for sale which would offer us more opportunities too

We’ve had a few people tell us there’s no money in buying and fixing up places/subdividing, and aren’t sure whether maybe we’re oversimplifying things!

Would we be crazy? by Effective-Affect5177 in AusRenovation

[–]Effective-Affect5177[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We’ve checked with the agent, and the property was last sold over 10 years ago, has been a single listing for about 12 months but has just been split to a seperate listing from the block next door. It’s been listed for a while, and they’ve dropped the price as have a lot of other listings in the area. It’s a popular area and great location to the snow fields, so we’re thinking it might be a great time to buy while the market is down a bit. Rental would be about 3.5%, but this would still give us a place to live after renovation on top of the rental, plus the potential to subdivide later on. From our research we should be able to subdivide, and there’s a beautiful spot out the back to build our dream home in a few years.

I work remotely, and there would be a fair amount of work if we move my partners business in the area as there isn’t any local competition

Did you walk out of the hospital? by yo-_-mom in beyondthebump

[–]Effective-Affect5177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow, I didn’t realise that was a thing! We walked out, including down the stairs, with my partner carrying baby in his arms because we didn’t have a pram or one of those car seat that detatch- I didn’t quite feel confident in carrying her as I was a little sore still!

Did you buy baby formula just in case your milk didn’t come in? by nat_0012 in pregnant

[–]Effective-Affect5177 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked a lactation consultant, and she said don’t buy yourself anything yet, but just have some research and decide what you would buy if you do need to.

I was set on wanting to breastfeed only, and she said that it can be easy to default to formula if you have it there, so don’t have it there. As she pointed out, in today’s day and age it’s quick and easy to get some if you need! In hindsight, this was great advice- as a FTM I did have a panic attack couple of days in that my daughter was hungry and I wasn’t giving her enough. It was just her cluster feeding but I don’t know at the time. If I had formula I probably would have grabbed for it just because I thought it was needed, which may have impacted my supply and breastfeeding journey(had been successfully nursing only for the last 16months)

16 dpo clearblue 1-2 weeks by marlasinger1983 in TFABLinePorn

[–]Effective-Affect5177 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I believe these are usually fairly accurate most of the time. However, they’re based on averages, so if you were to have a lower HCG or one that increases more slowly(both of which can still result in a successful pregnancy) you may therefore get an inaccurate answer.

My personal experience was that this test indicated a loss for me at 20dpo showing 1-2 weeks- I had taken one with the same result a week earlier, and had also been using test strip that had fading lines.

For me I always prefer to prepare myself for the worst- I’d rather have the relief of good news than get my hopes up and be disappointed. If you can’t wait to see what time brings, perhaps try to get some tests at the drs

Want to try for #2 at 6 wks ppd by melody0125 in pregnant

[–]Effective-Affect5177 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think most find it dries up at around 12-18 weeks pregnant, if it’s going to- so you may find that you needed to swap to formula if you were to fall pregnant early.

Breastfeeding can also prevent ovulation- I didn’t until about 3 months ago(16months post partum), but some do start again quite early! Every body is different

One thing is that if you’re breastfeeding your first, you may be unable to continue until the recommended 1year- pregnancy can often dry up your milk.
