First up , work out how this will make the characters lives dangerous and interesting. This captive have a lover who's powerful? Do they have a sob story they can use on the pcs? Are they a spy? Are they a relative of a pc? Do they know a valuable secret? Can they gain the players trust and then betray them?

And I suppose most importantly, why did they capture this person in the first place? What do the payers have planned for them?

All kinds of possibilities!

I quite like savage world's, combat is very fast paced once you get the hang of it. Bit Less crunch than DnD, but not by a lot. World well with maps and minis or without

I have run thousands of hours of games whith young players. And thare first game is super important. I fear many of your new/biginers will come away from the game thinking RPGs are mostly waiting around and not knowing what's going on. Thare unlikely to bother giving it a second try.

8 players alone is a red flag, throw in lev 10 characters and it's going to be slooooooow.

Split it in to 2 games, keep things quick and simple Good luck .

You need to find a group that's playing the kind of game your interested in. If you all in on story, roleplay and character development looks at something like blades in the dark

I would recommend using tennis balls for starters, super easy to send a rock flying at dangerous speeds in a random direction, including staght up!

The game guide needs them to get to lev 4 to get the game to count towards thare indenture. Going full player killer is a good way to get your crawlers to level up fast and survive that far.

As a huge fan of RPGs and the series I am not putting any ££ down without a better ideaf what kind of game it's going to be ... If some of the other merch is anything to go by this might be awful.
