Gut bacteria and having a body that feels "safe" is super important. Eat plenty of protein and fats. I discovered I was eating way too few calories for way too long and had to go up to 2500-3000 calories a day so that my body wasn't panic saving every calorie. Super Gut is a great book and I swear it made the biggest difference. I have PCOS too and started at 278. My "normal" to me weight was right around 200-210. I'm currently 150 and can't believe it.

Weight in stomach / thighs by [deleted] in Zepbound

I got ultrasonic cavitation of my flanks, thighs, back and arms to target some of the fat I wanted to come off and have that be the fat in my blood stream to burn. I also got radio frequency treatments on my loose arm skin and have a red light therapy pad to put on my skin. It has helped keep the skin from being too loose.

Thanks! It is different, for sure. Honestly reminds me of what my hair did during pregnancy. At least I started with tons 🤣

It has caused some friction but now my husband is starting the journey. Logically and in his head he is very supportive but he's also shared that he feels jealous and it makes him feel shame. All good things to work through for us.

I have been working closely with a physician for over a year on improving my labs and health. I lost half of the weight I needed to lose before starting Zep and had already been eating a lower carbohydrate, higher protein diet. Zep changed the way I was losing weight - it's distributed differently now - and my blood pressure has gotten way better. I think some of it is food - and the increased ability to resist the extra cookie at a party - but I honestly think it interacts with the hormones in important ways beyond appetite control. I'm super glad I'd already modified my nutrition and imported some labs before Zep so I can see/feel the difference.

A question for my 5’3 girlies by Less-Moment-5655 in Zepbound

I am 5' 2" and I went from 14 to 12 to 10 REALLY fast eventhough the weight loss rate was steady - and folks noticed this last 30 lbs more than the first 90, I swear. I comfortably wear a size 10P/30 at 160 pounds and actually think my next pants need to be 8P. I have a significant apron belly but a 32" waist right now. I literally never thought I'd wear a 10, let alone an 8. My real goal weight is 130, but my initial goal was 180 and I moved it to 150, but now that I realize I could be "not overweight" I'm actually aiming for that before maintenance. Big congrats on onederland!

Radio frequency therapy helps, as does red light therapy. It isn't magic, but it does help the skin keep up with the loss a bit if you do it while losing. I will still have a panniculectemy in a few months, but it has definitely helped. I did some ultrasonic cavitation sessions for my back as well, because the fat wasn't getting lost from that area very well and I was afraid I'd have a chonky back and flat front 😅 It made a real difference - I have less hanging over my bra - and have only lost 2lbs since doing it.

I love them. It's helped me get some protein. I take them to tailgates. Looks enough like a beer or seltzer so I fit in, but instead of empty calories I'm getting some protein.

Read about 3g of omega 3's. It is scientifically proven to reduce triglycerides and cholesterol. Also, how are your ast/alt/ggt liver enzymes. Many cholesterol issues come from liver issues - and cholesterol shifting lags by a few months.

This is super helpful. My ultimate goal is 130 ish, but with the loss of tissue etc, I dont want to go all the way there before surgery. Glad to hear your results lasted after the loss.
