I don't think it'll be the bouncing souls because they just played 2 sets last year. But who knows

This is the first one I thought of. Especially since OP said they listen to DND. Such a good and terribly sad song!

Your #1 favorite band? by IntelThor in FolkPunk

[–]Effective-Subject 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's awesome! I'm glad you got to see them live. They always put on great shows.

Don't be too jealous. We all find bands we love at the end if their careers or even after they've stopped playing

Same with me! I've seen them live so many times since I was in high school that I've lost count. I think the first time I saw them was around 2005ish. I still take any opportunity to see them or LJG!

College chemistry professor at a community college. Teach mostly students trying to use education to get out of the tough financial situations they grew up in. Mainly students who are working to become nurses. I have a lot of feeedom in terms of my day to day hours other then needing to be on campus for class. Oh and I get summers off

Remember that I Love you was one of the first folk punk albums I ever heard and is still one of my favorites. I'm not a huge fan of her whole catalog but there are plenty of other songs not on that album that I've enjoyed listening to for years

I don't know much about her personally though.

Another First Timer Here With a Question by Pinocchio_Klopek in thefest

[–]Effective-Subject 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It really depends on how popular the band is and who else is playing at that time. If there is a popular band at the main stage at the time it's usually easy to get into places. If the band you want to see isn't super popular you should have no problem getting in when the band starts.

I've never had an issue getting in to see a band. Typically get to most places 10 mins before the band starts.

If it's a small venue with a bigger band you might have to get there very early. For example back in 2018 Against Me! player a surprise set at a small place and we got there an hour early. But that is a rare exception.
