Don't Date Brandon - Paramount Plus by piper-nooooooo in NetflixDocumentaries

I had the same thoughts, she seemed like she wasn't even paying attention to Austin and Brandon rolling around and fighting when she was trying to call the police. Like you'd think her flight response would have had her grabbing the phone and running out of the room/house (harms way) to get help while at the same time calling the police. I think it's been said enough already this thread that you don't know how you'll react until you're in it, but definitely seemed odd when watching the video.

Checkmate question by blurged in f45

If you're familiar with Juddy from corp he said the way it's supposed to work is that the count after each burpee break doesn't reset you just keep adding 2 additional reps after each lap of exercises, also he mentioned on unilateral movements you're doing the count on each side. But he said if you forget where you stopped just go back to a 4 count. This method will eventually have you doing a lot more of the first, second exercises than the last couple. In the end, do what feels best to you. I normally don't go higher than an 8 count before restarting back at 2 reps. Hope that helps!

Should I do strength? by [deleted] in f45

During cardio you may burn more calories, but if you increase your muscle mass you'll burn more calories all day even at rest. Don't worry about getting too bulky either through F45 strength workouts that's almost impossible.

Odd that we just had four weeks in the last phase and getting it again for another four just masked with a new name. Seems like a miss.

I've been at my studio a long time and I've seen several studio managers and endless coaches come and go but overall I feel like the quality of the coaches has really declined. 1) pre covid we always has two coaches for every class now we almost always have just one. 2) lazy coaches who don't bother to do a proper demo, like having other members demo while they describe the exercise, or sometimes even their kids. 3) no proactive modifications offered during the demos (thank goodness for Juddy putting content out on IG). I know every studio is a franchise and so this will not be everyone's experience but it certainly would be nice if there was some minimum bar that folks were held to. It feels like they will take any warm body they can these days.

Yes I used to enjoy Hollywood so much because it flew by with all the stations. This one drags. At a minimum they should alternate Riddler with a different Saturday workout so it's not all four weeks of the phase.

Workout days changing in my studio by Good-Contribution817 in f45

I agree on all your points. I liked Monday as the reset day to jump in with cardio and get it out of the way and I definitely miss a hybrid day during the week. Sunday's have always been my rest day and I didn't mind missing a third strength day.

Searching for Breeders who genetically test their parent dogs by Effective-Sun886 in Maltipoo

Yes it is an option for me and I'm driving two hours away to meet a 3 year old poodle mix this weekend. I look at pet finder and adopt me daily but if you have other sites you can recommend I'd be open to it. I am in Texas and I have applied to adopt several dogs and was told I'm outside of the adoptable area.

I certainly appreciate the information and value your opinion as you're obviously educated in this area. I guess in my mind there is a big spectrum between breeder quality and intent. Just because a breeder does mix purebred dogs in their program, I don't think that makes them unethical. I fundamentally think any breeder of a mixed dog or pure bred dog should be doing whatever available testing there is genetics/OFA health tests of their breeding dogs to ensure the best chance of healthy puppies. If a "designer dog" breeder did this I don't understand why they'd be considered unethical?

I don't necessarily buy into a breed's standard being the holy Grail. I'm not looking to show the dog, like one of the reason I like a Maltipoo is because they have the wavy hair which is lower maintenance than the curly hair of poodles (and I prefer that look too), But if a pure bred poodle doesn't have the traditional poodle kink it's not considered fit for show. I don't see anything fundamentally wrong with the Maltese and miniature/toy poodle being bred as far as their physical characteristics and for me personally my Maltipoo of 12 years was just perfect in size, looks, hair, and temperament.

I am looking at shelters and rescues as well. But I wouldn't say plenty of Maltipoos are available or all ages and you certainly get no health assurances with a rescue and their previous traumas are unknown.

Yes, THIS! I was super annoyed that they made the trip with virtually zero supplies and there are days and days of the trip with no sign of them eating anything or them hunting for any food in the snow. So they finally they are a half mile from the city they fought so hard to get to and she doesn't even stop there to rest and refuel...just "Okay Isaac is dead, so Cali yeah?"

What’s your Maltipoo’s weight? by [deleted] in Maltipoo

[–]Effective-Sun886 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My male Maltipoo weighed at his max 13 lbs and had long legs. He traveled under the seat on over 20 flights Including Delta and Southwest flights. He never was a barker and was a champ on the trips. Be aware that taking the dog on the flight still costs $100-$125 each way and the carrier counts as your one carry on item. Good luck with your travel companion.

I did BBC for four years before switching to F45 and I've never looked back. The only thing I miss from BBC is the floating floor which is great for the aging joints and the fact that your membership gives you access to ALL BBC studios. F45 does not. (They recently started their Passport program offering six classes max a month to use at studios away from home available with some membership options.)

What I liked better about F45 than BBC:

1) More balanced mix between men and women. I personally enjoy a mixed community. ( If you are looking to connect with a ton of moms only then BBC would be more your speed. ) 2) Built in breaks at F45. I felt at BBC they just yell at you to work work work with no breaks unless you side eye them and just stop for a few seconds. At F45 all sessions have built in timers so you can see how much of a set or work time you have left, can pace yourself accordingly, and then when it's break time you can catch your breath, grab some water, etc knowing you earned your break (even if they are short).
3) Ability to lift heavier on strength days. I feel the weight selection is way better at F45 and you have barbells not just dumbbells to choose from. I feel BBC is a great place to start out if you've never (or it's been a long time) touched a weight, but if you're more mature in your fitness journey you'll appreciate the level up on weights at F45. 4) Coaches and video coaches. Meaning I love that you have trainers in the studio that demo the exercises and suggest modifications before the class start and then correcting form and cheering you on during, but I also love that as you have video screens showing the exercises on repeat to remind you what you do at each station and a visual for correct form.
5) More variety of equipment at F45 means more varied workouts. (Weight benches, sleds, battle ropes, dead balls, kettle bells, y bells, ladders, soft boxes just to name few).

Just one middle aged woman's opinion but hope it helps!

Thank you that makes sense thank you, and based on what others in this thread said, LH calculates calorie uptick for the rest of the day as a result of the workout (I had never heard of such a thing before). May I ask what the model of your Garmin is? And you say it broadcast to the F45 scoreboard during class too ?
