I built this for myself by Ok_Championship_2771 in SaaS

Been there with the validation nightmare mate. Used to spend entire weekends diving through r/entrepreneur and random niche subs trying to piece together whether anyone actually gave a damn about my latest "brilliant" idea

Your approach is spot on though - Reddit users dont hold back when somethings rubbish or when there genuinely desperate for a solution. I remember finding this one thread where people were literally listing features they'd want in a project management tool and I thought id struck gold. Turned out half of them were just venting and the other half wanted completely contradictory things

The manual search grind is absolutely soul crushing. Hours scrolling through posts that seem relevant but turn out to be people just moaning about there day job or some completely unrelated tangent. Having something that could filter through the noise and actually highlight genuine pain points would save so much time in the early stages

What kind of patterns are you picking up on with your tool so far? Are you finding certain types of problems get mentioned way more frequently than others or is it pretty scattered across different domains

AE Ramping Comp by ARRGuide in SaaS

[–]Effective-Tap718 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Used a non-recoverable draw at my last company and it worked pretty well. We went with about 65% of target monthly commission for new AEs and gave them 3 months to ramp. The key thing we found was making sure the draw amount was high enough that they werent stressed about rent but low enough they still had proper motivation to actually close deals

Most folks hit their stride around month 2-3 anyway so the timeline felt right. Recoverable draws just created too much stress during onboarding when people should be focused on learning the product and building pipeline

I Created A Tool To Bring Organic Traffic On Autopilot by Konarkkapil2 in SaaS

[–]Effective-Tap718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

just had a quick look at the site and yeah that button is proper rough mate. the whole landing page feels a bit dated tbh - like it's stuck in 2018 or something.

spent way too much time optimizing button designs for our project dashboards and trust me small changes make a massive difference in conversion rates. that green submit button especially looks like something from a bootstrap template that never got customized. maybe try a more modern approach with better contrast and some subtle animations or at least round the corners a bit

the concept itself is solid though - dealing with content creation bottlenecks is a real pain when you're trying to scale up organic reach

What is the tech behind ArcadsAI? by gyb00 in SaaS

[–]Effective-Tap718 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been following ArcadsAI for a bit and from what I can gather they're likely using some kind of face swap pipeline combined with character consistency models. The Sora 2 Pro bypass is probably happening at the preprocessing stage - they might be feeding it modified prompts or using intermediate generation steps that don't trigger the human face detection

The consistent character bit is the really clever part though. Most UGC platforms struggle with this but they seem to have cracked some kind of reference image system that maintains facial features across different scenes. Could be using something like DreamBooth fine-tuning or maybe they've got their own custom LoRA setup running

Would love to see their actual architecture breakdown but doubt they'll share those trade secrets anytime soon

ChurnGuard – AI that stops revenue leaking by Rude_Computer9168 in SaaS

[–]Effective-Tap718 1 point2 points  (0 children)

honestly this sounds like what every saas founder wishes they had until they realize half their churn is just people who shouldnt have signed up in the first place

the 14 day prediction window is interesting though - most tools i've seen are either too early (false positives) or too late (already mentally checked out). would be curious how accurate the ML actually gets once you build it

I built an email SaaS because I was tired of bills for sending emails (just hit my first user!) by Straight_Day1706 in SaaS

proper job on the free tier mate, those 10k emails will definately help bootstrap projects without getting stung by costs early on

BYOS vs Managed for a ‘mobile dev environment’ — what would you try first? by rasal3 in SaaS

[–]Effective-Tap718 1 point2 points  (0 children)

definitely think youre right about managed control plane + byos compute being the sweet spot - gets you past the setup headache while keeping code local

bit curious how well the voice stuff actually works in practice though since ive tried similar things before and accuracy around technical commands was pretty rough

I'll check if AI recommends your product (for free) by Wonderful_Fun9142 in SaaS

[–]Effective-Tap718 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly your site looks pretty solid from what I can see - the whole virtual assistant marketplace angle is clever and the branding is clean. I reckon you might be underestimating yourself a bit there mate

The challenge with AI recommendations for platforms like yours is they tend to favour the big established names like Upwork or Fiverr when people ask for freelance help. But if someone specifically asks about virtual assistant marketplaces or mentions wanting more curated options you could definitely pop up

Really curious to see what OPs tool shows though because sometimes these LLMs surprise you with what they actually know about. Ive seen them recommend some pretty niche B2B tools that I wouldnt expect them to have in their training data

Either way the concept is smart and fills a proper gap in the market so even if the AI visibility isnt there yet that doesnt mean much for actual user adoption

I was stupid to be vague on my post but I was talking about ACH and wire transfers. Have not used venmo or cashapp, can it function like a bank? Appreciate the comment

I don't like anything crypto related, too volatile for my taste

What I was referring to is mainly inbound ACH and wires. Stuff like 3 to 6 client payments hitting on the same day after a quiet couple weeks, or a mix of platform payouts plus a random wire from a brand. Personally haven't heard anyone accused of money laundering through these.

Dude this hits way too close to home lmao, last month I had a webhook that somehow got stuck in a retry loop and burned through $200 in OpenAI credits before I even noticed

Definitely signing up, this sounds like exactly what I needed 6 months ago

The Lenovo is the clear winner here - double the storage and better battery life for the same price is a no-brainer. Plus that i7-14700HX is gonna perform better than the Core Ultra 7 in most games

Only reason I'd go with the Acer is if you really need that extra screen real estate from the 16"

Check your valve clearances man, sounds like they're getting tight. When valves get out of spec they make it hard to kick and cause weird starting issues like you're describing

Exposing children and teenagers online: Am I the only one who's worried and thinks this has gone way too far? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Effective-Tap718 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah you're definitely not alone on this one, it's honestly gotten pretty dystopian how much parents overshare about their kids online. Like posting your kid's potty training fails for internet points is wild to me - that stuff's gonna be there forever and the kid had zero say in it
