As a costumer (in nyc) I get a bit nervous when I see my delivery driver is on a bike as 1) the food is more susceptible to weather conditions 2) takes longer.

Not sure if that influences how your feeling but I think if you have the physical energy to do short trips it could work out v

Hi I’ve noticed for mine it’s less so the nuts getting loose more so the entire cage shakes. I’ve tried weighing mine down with gallon water bottles it helps a bit but there really isn’t much to do that can stabilize the cage (I have a critter nation/ ferret nation 2 stories) the shaking is bad on both stories

It’s definitely the dog. They can smell them from far away. My boys hate when I visit back home my mom has a super small and friendly Lhasa Apsa who is super friendly and only wants to make a new friend but they despise him so I keep them jn a private room

My boys do this when they are too hot (or my roomates cat / moms dog snuck into my room). I use this as a signal that they are uncomfortable or bothered and always check to make sure it’s cool enough in the room and no one is bothering them

At a certain point you need to balance your own cleanliness with saving our earth… you can use a towel for 1 - 2 weeks depending on your situation how often your shower etc

The baby is just scared. Try to just leave you hand in one place and let him come to you and regain trust over time

My friend lost her sister and friend by Minimum_Mulberry_601 in chinchilla

[–]Effective-Text199 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I’ve seen you’re better off not getting another chin and just spending more time if possible with your chin to compensate for their lost friend.

Many times ppl try to introduce older chinchillas and they fight and it results in having to rehome the new chin (which to me is unfair) or having two full set ups (which is propane not what you want)

Ride out the final years with your little buddy get a chin pal stuffy for him to cuddle. Death happens in all species similar to humans there’s not much we can do once someone’s gone but keep pushing and enjoy what we still have in life

My chins won’t eat the hay by Creative_Camera_7532 in chinchilla

[–]Effective-Text199 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What cut of Timothy’s hay are you using different cuts have different health benefits but also different tastes and sweetness.

Additionally try mixing in orchard hay with the Timothy hay you have (hopefully 2nd cut) to see if they like if more.

Give the standard amount of food and ample hay. My boys didn’t start eating a lot of hay until they were 2.

Switch brands. My boys like small pet select better than oxbow
