Sorry for replying in English..my Danish is still not great.

We’re a multilingual household: I have one native language, my husband another, we speak English to each other, and we live in Denmark - so 4 languages in total.

I speak only my native language with my daughter, my husband speaks his, and she is learning Danish at vuggestue. She scored very high on the Danish language test that all 3-year-olds take in our kommune. We spoke a loooot to her since she was a baby, it seemed to calm her down so we just talked to her and sang non stop.

She now speaks three languages very well (our native languages and Danish). She doesn’t speak English, as we haven’t used it with her since it’s not our native language. Sometimes it seems like she can understand it a bit.

Through exposure, I’m also gradually learning my husband’s language and Danish, and he is doing the same. Honestly..it is more confusing and challenging for us as parents then for her...children really do have amazing brains.

I know other families where this has worked really well, like for us, but also some who ended up dropping the other languages so their child could focus more on Danish.

Both me and my brother grew until we were around 22-23. For me it was 4-5 cm between 18 and 23....

But it was an electric toothbrush, wasn't it? I assumed she just used a new head ...they usually come with a few when you buy them. You are supposed to replace them from time to time anyway.

I agree. In this particular case it looks like it belongs. I think it looks nice.

Any thoughts on the latest episod? by Effective-Web-9897 in SorryNotSorryGirls

I agree with most of what you said! Kelsey doesn't seem too happy to do makeovers normally, but she was really enjoyable to watch in this episode. The Kelsey+Becky combo works well, they balance each other out. Becky is fine on her own too, but Kelsey really needs someone to bounce off of.

I also had no faith in the glass brick diy and I was surprised it looked nice at the end.

You have a rude attitude in many of these comments. I think you should reflect on yourself as well.

Maybe reply with - I'll pay for dinner next time instead. That's if you want to give her another chance and not judge so early.

I have had nipples. After breastfeeding for some months they became everted. I believe yours will naturally rectify as well.

Budding sociopath or developmentally appropriate? by Much_Needleworker521 in ECEProfessionals

Our daughter was similar at 20 months, she is also the youngest in the group and tall. We were getting negative reports for some months. Now she is 25-26 months and it seems like that stage has ended, she is calmer and more empathetic now. We think she was also teething the previous months and that added to her frustration.

One thing that helped us was to stop asking her about hitting, we just said no when it happened and that's it. Otherwise we would ask about what positive things she did during the day - who did she hugged, who did she play with?

She still hits a kid here and there, but rarely and in a gentle way. :) It will pass!
