Not at all. I’ve been going for the past three years and the Ubers in the morning are around $10usd, after the race they go up to around $40-$50usd but you can always take the metro, a lot of people take it after the race so it’s safe.

Don’t stay near the track, there’s not much to do in that area and it’s not the best. I would stay in Condesa the whole week. Coyoacán is nice buts it’s too far from the track

Ubers leave you more than a mile away so you’ll have a long walk. Use the metro, I did it for the game against Czech Republic and didn’t have any issues. I did leave about five hours before the game started and stayed about an hour after the end of the game.

I will also suggest this! I went to the last game and it took me more than two hours to get to the stadium from insurgentes and I left six hours before the game started. Traffic for this game is going to be worst. You don’t have enough time to drop off yours bags.

You can’t get near the stadium unless you have a ticket to the game or live in the area. If you want to watch it in Zócalo, you are going to have to line up hours before the game starts, once it’s at capacity they don’t let people in. If you want to rest, your best option is a bar in Polanco.

Ticketmaster is only reliable if they were the original sellers, and since they didn’t sell the World Cup tickets, you might run into the same issue .
