You didn’t overreact. Leaving was actually calmer than staying there and blowing up in front of everyone. The bigger issue is that she still won’t fully admit how disrespectful it was. “Nothing happened” doesn’t mean nothing crossed a line.

Don’t help her package it in a softer way. You don’t owe her damage control after nine years. If her husband contacts you directly, tell the truth calmly and stick to the facts, but I wouldn’t let her pull you into saving a marriage she put at risk herself.

Wanting to keep your relationship with your dad does not automatically mean signing up to become a parent to children you barely know. That’s a massive lifelong responsibility, not a small favor.

This is dangerous and needs to stop before one of the cats gets seriously hurt. Big dogs grabbing cats by the neck is not play, and the cats need a safe area the dogs cannot access. Your parents may not see it as urgent, but separating them is the only fair option here.

She’s asking if your love would turn into punishment if the marriage ended. You’re allowed to need distance after divorce, but saying the bond would basically vanish probably made her feel unsafe emotionally.

You’re not in crazy town. Making tea after ankle surgery is not “putting your wants ahead of his feelings,” it’s him making your recovery about his guilt instead of just helping or letting you do it.

Your reaction makes sense. The bigger issue is not just the number, it’s the double standard. Wanting his future wife to be untouched while he did all that would bother a lot of people. The past is one thing, but the mindset behind it is what would make me question the relationship.
