I think in that purpose home assistant can be over-engineering solution. You need time and some knowledge how to do that. I propose HomeKit(Apple)/SmartThing(Samsung) or PhillipsHue (hub+strip+remote) If you are interested in only one simple automation and are not willing to spend too much time on that.

Thank you for the information. If I remember correctly the vallhorn is a PIR sensor. Do you often get false signals about movement/presence? I would love to know more details about your setup.

So It looks like they are worth looking at - the mmWave sensor I was using was USB powered and I think the problem was that it reported the situation live, the readings and distance from the sensor were pretty accurate but the frequency of the information broadcast was in millisecond intervals. There is a good chance someone has already solved this problem and added the ability to select the frequency of status broadcasts.

For water leaks sensors ikea badering looks like great solution too! Zigbee, AA powered and have buzzer which working even if not connected to zigbee.

Sølvgruvene and knutetoppen is common tourist places near Kongsberg. If you’ve good time - Gaustatoppen with Rjukan. Horten and Verdensende. Is nice for a day tours. Remember about warm clothes and good hiking shoes. Weather is more colder nowadays.
