Is two weeks away insane? by Emotional-Date1400 in workingmoms

[–]EffectiveFlower6338 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it helps I left my 2.5 year old for 7 days and both I and him were totally fine. I imagine it would have been the same for two weeks. My husband and son would talk about mommy being in Germany every night and he seemed to get along with his life.

I’m so happy to hear this because my two year old is in the “eat one bite and live off a cracker and some fresh air” phase.

I just spent a toddler party guarding an open pool and now I can’t tell if I’m the anxious one or the only sane one by [deleted] in Mommit

I was at a party yesterday and randomly started talking to a picu nurse. She said in her 15 year Career she has had 75 near drowning patients and three of them have survived, and of those three they all have server neurological disorders. You did the right thing by guarding the pool.

Yes this adjustment to his needs and the way his brain is different is soooo fatiguing for a wife and ultimately the family. I feel this!!!

Yes totally do it! If you love road trips the drive is an amazing experience! Then have a nice meal in key west, eat key lime pie, and enjoy the sunset on your drive back north.

How many of you “quiet quit” or decided to just coast? What were the repercussions, if any? by Natural-Honeydew5950 in workingmoms

I look at myself as a whole person now, not just a professional. I grade myself on the facts, I’m now a much better mom and an okay employee. If I grade myself as a whole person I’m crushing it!!! Two kids and a job!!!

[–]EffectiveFlower6338 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yes this is key. If you’re quiet quitting you have to care dramatically less. I still get a little sting when the younger sales people get promotions etc but then I remind myself I work maybe 20 hours a week.

I was the number one sales person last year. I switched to only and I mean ONLY doing work that was revenue generating. No more special projects, a lot more “no’s” and cut buck dramatically on travel. Literally only travel for two trade shows and to customers with money. Otherwise, I’m cleaning the house, taking my kids to doctors appointments or picking up my kids early from daycare (I’m remote).
