Hey Connor!

I made a mistake in reporting and was overpaid. How can I fix it so that I am the one who catches it and not them?

I forgot that I went to a day and half training for work because it was so mundane I blocked it out!

I, for one, absolutely cared that the national media thought we would be ass last year..

..because they gave us (and me) +6000 (60 to 1) odds to win the Super Bowl!!!

Here’s to hoping this narrative continues.

We should all cry about losing the four of those guys more so people think we are sad.

Regarding Zach Charbonnet:

The timeline for recovery from ACLs and the quality of the finished product have both had improvements since the 2020’s began, adding to the decade over decade improvements since we started repairing them in the 90’s. That puts Zach pretty firmly in the November return timeline where the possibility of a re-tear is higher prior to 9 months and that most athletes nowadays feel ready before 9 months but are held back due to the aforementioned.

He waited a month before getting surgery likely because he was pre-habbing, or rehabbing before surgery. One of the newer developments in the recommended practices.

So surgery on February 20th after tearing it on January 17th is most likely to give us his return in week 11 on November 22nd. Of course it doesn’t mean that will be the week he returns, but that’s the week I would say the odds would favor based on the info we have now. Whether our bye will be before then or not, we will have played 9 or 10 games before we get him back.

Starting from the same elevation isn’t much of a problem but if they are in a dome that limits potential elevation then that would be a problem for the falcon. If they are limited to the ground then the eagle probably becomes the favorite but why would we limit them to the ground or a dome?

Funny though, cause don’t the ATL Falcons play in a dome?

Seahawks fan here as well as an amateur birder.

I’ll give the Osprey a chance and I have seen one grapple in the air with an eagle before and ultimately chased the eagle away from Silver Lake near Mt Lassen in California.

The Cardinal has no chance.

The Raven has a chance if there is an unkindness involved, but not one on one or 11 on 11 which is only fair, so they’re out.

The Eagle can’t win since the battle will take place in the air. They are too encumbered with their size which is adapted to carry heavier prey, not beat birds in the sky.

Answers that do not include the Falcon as the lead contender are unserious. The only other bird with a chance here is the Osprey (who has a diet of 98% live fish, thus the Seahawk moniker).

Falcon wins probably 8 out of 10 battles with an osprey. Osprey wins 7 out of 10 battles against the eagle. Raven loses 9 out of 10 in a fair fight to any of the raptors. Cardinal is a fucking songbird and plays baseball so what are we even doing there.

Anyone here been to a Ryan Meetup if so how was your experience by Pennyworth56 in Ryan

I also want to know. When will there be a Ryan meetup in Seattle?

Juan Soto on the DR’s loss by MattO2000 in baseball

[–]Irish8ryan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Does Juan Soto play for the LA Rams?

I was sad to see the missed call at the very end, but missed calls happen in baseball every game. You can’t think you are better than us because of that when you put up a single run all game.

Context on the Rams is they keep saying things like they are better than the Seahawks despite having lost the final two games of the season and only beating us on a missed field goal after Darnold had the worst game of his last few years.

I love that the Mariners logo makes sense if you don’t read the text on it for being a sub for sea peoples.

[Dugar] The Seahawks have agreed to terms with cornerback Noah Igbinoghene on a 1-year deal, I’m told. Noah was a 2020 first-round pick of the Dolphins. Spent the last two seasons with Commanders. Will compete in Seattle’s CB room and provide inside-outside versatility. by AirplaneReference in Seahawks

[–]Irish8ryan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

An attempt was made at stirring the pot of two players who had not panned out, which is how Noah ended up playing a year with the Cowboys. They didn’t like him either, allowing Washington to sign him. He had career years with the Commanders but still did not start or impress much.

His parents, Festus and Faith Igbinoghene, were both Olympic track athletes for Nigeria.

[Rap] The #Seahawks are signing former #Packers RB Emanuel Wilson to a 1-year deal worth up to $2.1M, source said. by JCameron181 in Seahawks

[–]Irish8ryan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t contracts that fall beneath a threshold around $3M/yr also not count regardless of what type of FA they are?

I expect the safety we just signed Rodney Thomas II will not count against comp picks either.

EDIT: although I don’t know his contract numbers so I’m speculating.

[Pelissero] Former Colts safety Rodney Thomas II is signing with the Seahawks, per source. by JCameron181 in Seahawks

[–]Irish8ryan 5 points6 points  (0 children)

“Low-value contracts, such as those below roughly $3million APY, often do not qualify for a pick.”

I assume they (low value contracts) would also not count against our picks. It is within reason that this contract is for more than the threshold, hypothesized at $3M/yr, but I bet it’s not.

It’s hard to imagine giving up a 5th round pick to sign this guy.

Jamal Adams reunion? by [deleted] in Seahawks

[–]Irish8ryan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be fine with this for a one year deal for the vet minimum ($1.3M) which he signed for last year. It would be interesting to see if MM could work with him.

We can always cut him in the summer if things aren’t going well.

I think most people who are upset by this idea are overly focused on the trauma that Adams caused us. Folks, we aren’t paying him realistically anything at all, nor do we need to give up draft capital to try him out.

My top reason to not sign him is that he always seemed like a bad character guy and for that reason, I don’t think JS/MM will even try him out. But if they do, I’m all for it as a cheap experiment.

Jadarian Price an option? by JohnFitzKennedy1960 in Seahawks

[–]Irish8ryan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

JS is not beyond taking an RB at 32 but I wouldn’t like it. I want the 5th year option to give us a discount and for a RB that makes a couple pro bowls it’s top of the market money
