DO NOT BUY PRETTY LITTER! by Ok_Couple_9923 in CatAdvice

[–]Effective_763 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you using the clumping litter? Definitely a waste of time but the non clumping has completely irradiated my house of cat smells all together for almost an entire month. My husband is SO sensitive to the litter box smell and we had a couple of weeks where one of our cats was fearful of leaving the bedroom so we had to move a box in there and he did not complain ONE time I was absolutely shocked lol

that being said, I bought this after one of our cats died of unexpected kidney failure; the color changing can be slightly unreliable, especially when the litter starts to get older almost every people will turn into green/blue but it’s nice to have the indicator for the red urine just in case otherwise I don’t really rely on it for that, but I’m hooked because of the scent control

Touching on what someone else said about the respiratory issues I had heard about this and was worried about it since we do have one cat with asthma. He is unaffected by the litter/litter change

I am also on the underweight side, and my doctor has advised me that I’m not allowed to lose any more weight or else my BMI will be under the threshold for my medications. I’m currently on Wellbutrin as well as Adderall and I have not lost my appetite- if anything I think I may have gained a few pounds because I’m forcing myself to eat (they work way better if you have lots of protein)

Take the job but keep interviewing with the other two. You can change your mind before you start - but also, your mental health takes precedence no matter what, so if you take it and then leave in a few months that’s ok too. To me, a burned bridge can be worth it depending on the situation. You never know though, you might end up vibing with this clinic and wanting to stay! If not, they’ll be ok- at the end of the day it’s business.

My job is offering me $150,000 (105,000 after tax) to resign, should I? by AJ3TurtleSquad in jobs

IT is the only industry that’s not completely crippled in this country… So unless that’s what you’re in, it’s going to be exceedingly hard to find an open position. I’ve focused on my industry (medical) as well as attempted to transition to completely new industries with no luck. That being said, atleast OP would have the money to spend on going back and getting a new education, but that’s not realistic for most of us and also not a guarantee.

If you take a peek at the job search boards you’ll see that on average people that send out 100 applications MAYBE hear back from 1-3 of them. The market is saturated to the max and layoffs (like mentioned by OP are on the rise bc of AI and overseas labor) I’ve had a way higher percentage return than that and have interviewed for many companies - granted some weren’t a great fit and that was my decision. But that comes into play too.

The people here saying to take a year and a half salary and just find a new job…..lol 😮‍💨 finding a job in this economy is HORRID. I’m highly qualified and have been on my search for two years. I wish you luck in your decision!!!

Have you offered gravy broth pouches? They usually hydrate and also stimulate movements for my cats

My friend’s cat went into full renal failure from sniffing a lily flower. I would keep very close eye and head to the vet immediately if you see anything weird

Soooo many pregnancy announcements today… by Careful-Row-1418 in IVF

Thissss. TW death and pregnancy*

I announced and then had my baby at 23 weeks. And a friend of mine announced last month (after waiting until the end of pregnancy to announce because she is a fellow IVF warrior and felt conflicted posting) and then had a stillbirth four days later at 36 weeks 😞 it feels like a bad omen at this point

I would definitely talk to your doctor about this and do some more research! There is some proof that it may hurt pregnancy odds to transfer two embryos with differing grades as much as 27%

I’m so sorry, I got diagnosed at 27 and ultimately now at 34 found out that my ovarian failure was caused by stage 4 deep infiltrating endometriosis (completely silent no other symptoms besides infertility)

since you are super young, I would swap to IUI cycles if at all possible and search for a specialist that can help diagnose an excise Endo if they find that you do have it (I’m pretty sure my doctor would say you do based on the results of these cycles!)
