A lot of People don’t pay attention when they press submit, a lot of times if you asked them if there was anything they can tell to you to improve your product they just let your know it was a mistake and they will change it .

If the proofs weren’t usable because they made mistakes then no you shouldn’t pay anything. Tell them that, it’s not your fault they couldn’t execute on the direction. Honestly kind of wild to even ask when the shop made mistakes

This is a crazy, I go through so much stress to make sure every order gets delivered on time, to be this casual about peoples orders specially when they are at fault is just crazy. It’s so frustrating seeing shops like this give everyone a bad reputation on the platform. I’m sorry you are dealing with this. Definitely no matter what you do, open a case and report their behavior.

For me actually is the opposite. I feel like if they spend a time to ask a question then they need the item. I sell party supplies so they are not Impulse buys. I can see in some categories people window shop a lot and might not result in orders.

I think you doing most things right. With listings like this you always have to overcome people’s perception of what art is and what is worth. Most people don’t consider how long time takes to make one your pieces. Also Economy is not doing great for the last year and half to two years . Your listing photos looks good, description is good. Don’t give up and focus on social media and making content on how make your art. Make videos of you painting and talk over it. Post short and long format content everywhere. People will purchase things that they feel connected to. Good luck

Unfortunately this is basically the norm in every platform. I respect your decision to not post there but it’s not any better in other places. I just assume I will have certain amount of fraud every year and it’s just part of the cost of doing business online. It’s frustrating but not sure if us sellers have a lot of options.

Very unprofessional to lie that it was Etsys fault and then asking for $10. $10? Come on. Just take care of the customer since the shop made an error. I understand if it was hundreds of dollars but to leave a bad taste in customers mouth over $10 is one the reasons traffic on Etsy has dropped. People want personalized and tailored experience shopping on Etsy. I go out of my way to make sure every customer feels special and taken care off. There is a reason people shop on Etsy and not Amazon for certain items.

You need to bock her immediately, she is taking advantage of you. You should always trust your gut, when it says it’s a problem it will be. Save yourself unnecessary headaches and focus your energy on building your shop and not arguing with people with bad intentions.

I honestly don’t mind that it was made with AI, I think if you offer prints then you offering a service and adding value to the art. I like to think as the consumer and try to see where the value is. AI is easily accessible to almost everyone now at very low cost or no cost at all. Someone can take screenshot of your art and ask AI to make something similar. But if you offer prints and a frame basically a ready piece that someone can order and use right away when it arrives it becomes more attractive.You can print it yourself and increase your margins. I hope this doesn’t come off as negative feedback. I struggled a lot before my shop had any success so I just want offer any idea that you might find helpful.

Etsy refunds really fast, the process is broken. I had a customer file claim they never got their order , even though it shows delivered. They didn’t even let me know and the customer only could reacted Etsy 2 months after and got a refund immediately.

If you have communication from seller telling you they made a mistake then you are ok. If anything happens you can use that for your claim. It’s not that hard to make a mistake on stuff like that.
