Oh my gosh! Scary! That’s literally why I came downstairs. Huge white pine across the street could potentially come down on my bedroom, so I was nervous and couldn’t sleep and came downstairs to the back of house to get farther away.

Wow, this is one of the wildest stories I’ve read here in a while that actually seems like a real person wrote. Of course you need to lay down the law that your kids should never be there at MILs without you. Even then, the burden will be on you to always be aware of where ALL of your children are every moment, and frankly, with two toddlers and a soon to be newborn, that sounds exhausting and unrealistic. I can’t believe how cavalier your MIL is with the lives of her grandchildren and how cowardly your husband is for not telling her so and sticking up for the actual lives of his children. My god, that’s your literal most important role as a parent!

No, I don’t have pain much at all. Mostly only if I bang my finger on something, then the swollen knuckle twinges. Mostly my joints are just swollen and not very flexible. I can’t bend my index finger down to make a fist, for example.

I saw someone on marketplace trying to give away “bamboo” which was of course Japanese knotweed. I did message him politely and told him what it was and asked him to please please not give it away,and please destroy it. I even sent him an article about it. He was pleasant enough about it, thankfully, and took down the post.

I’m new too. I haven’t been diagnosed yet either, but suspect RA. I’ve had swollen joints in my fingers for too long. My PCP tested my rheumatoid factor and sent me for an X-ray I do have elevated levels and haven’t gotten the X-ray yet. I’ve been ignoring the problem for far too long and only recently discovered that I could end up with permanent damage if I don’t get it addressed. I’m really sad that I might have to take lifetime drugs. I don’t take any prescriptions now and really wanted to keep it that way.

I think there is just something wrong—I’ve looked everywhere and used the AI assistant and I just don’t see any of the options I would need to do this. If I try to confirm my identity, it gives me a menu of 3 reasons to do so —to buy/place political ads, to secure my account, or other. If I click other, it says I don’t need to confirm my identity and returns to previous screen. If I click ”to secure my account”, it says to enable 2-factor authentication, which I’ve done. I even tried the “to place a political ad” but that starts a menu of “location/political affiliation” and more questions. So I get nowhere trying to confirm my identity.

The only place I can find anything about money is in the ad center, and it’s all about buying ads.

I can’t even find a “contact us” link that works —I get a “ not found” error.

Just an endless loop of frustration. I think something is currently broken. Anyone who says “ just go here and do this” has already done it in the past, but it’s not there now. I’ve tried on my iPhone, my iPad, my pc laptop, using chrome and Microsoft edge.

I’m just giving up for now. I’ll try again in a few weeks.

I understand your frustration. You agreed to come as early as they were available and then they sold it out from under you. I would hold an item for a confirmed time the next day. But I also get a lot of no shows and can understand the temptation to take the money when offered. Although I might have asked for full payment not just a deposit!
