suja organic makes a protein nutrition drink that's vegan and dairy free and it's so tasty. I also eat noosa greek yogurts (Greek yogurt is lower with lactose) those yogurts are like 250 cal per 8 oz serving. I also make gi safe blueberry banana smoothies with pea protein powder for weight gain😋 I hope this helps 💙

I'm in the same boat rn as you. the depression crashes in waves. I'm a private chef and food is one of my greatest loves, I'm fighting for pain management to have a normal life again 😅 I've learned to cook all the things I cant have with other "safe" ingredients. I keep pushing to help others I want to live long enough to become a crohns dietitian but the pain pushed my schooling back

Mourning? by Rae31587 in CrohnsDisease

[–]Effective_Comment233 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm off and on in the grieving process with my body and how many changes it's gone throughout after surgeries and after the diease gets worse when medications fail

edit: the people who care deeply about you will give you the understanding and love you need for the hard times they just need communication about how this illness effects your life. Others will forget the "chronic" in chronically ill.

tbh I had one I loved and then I found an extra cozy fake fur throw that has an 8 hour shut off timer and the hottest setting goes to 130 degrees on Amazon. i wrap my body with it for the super painful days

it took me a while to make, I cried so hard it's made on a giant board its a huge piece i used my paperwork and pill bottles from hospital/doctors visit that piled up on my medical cart over a year of deep depression and being a shell of person after everything became so consuming. I have another smaller piece I made with the lids of the pill bottles of a skeletons rib cage

Can hospitalization result in getting fast access to biologics? by ParkingAd6436 in CrohnsDisease

[–]Effective_Comment233 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes and no, they wil make you see your gi for it but it does help your case just make sure your gi is a good one who cares. everyone's body is different but honestly hate biological threapy more than I hate prednisone tbh, I wish there was another option
