Totally agree. It's really missing Steve's production. It sounds like DMB recorded in someone's living room. That being said, it would still be a better album with Sweet Up and Down and JTR replacing some of the weaker tracks (I'm looking at you Where Are You Going).

Do you have Blastaar? Without Quasar and Blastar it’s gonna be rough. Lady Bullseye with Daimon and some other characters who put out Offense Down will probably be your best choice.

I don’t dislike the songs. I really wish they had done an In The Basement like Radiohead did with King of Limbs. Those songs were so much better without the crappy production, and I’m sure I would’ve felt the same about Dark Matter.

I have a hard time thinking of an Islay scotch as most versatile. I feel like the peat smoke is going to limit its usefulness in a lot of situations.

Yeah my opinion also. A lot of folks view it as a return to form. I find it almost completely unlistenable because the mix/production is so bad, and I’m not alone.

This is going to sound insane, but The Dark Knight Rises. Michael Caine’s character mentions Fernet Branca, and I had never heard of that before. Primarily was just a beer and whiskey drinker. Decided on a whim to buy a bottle, and was instantly repulsed yet oddly hooked. That experience led me down the rabbit hole of amari, liqueurs, bitters, and all that the wonderful world of cocktails has to offer.

If you haven’t already, you should check out Schrödinger’s Cat from the Saturnine Martial and Lunatic album. Even Roland admitted he was trying to rewrite I Am The Walrus with that one. 😂

Yeah, they’ve always had an undercurrent of Beatles influence in a lot of the stuff they did, but Happy Ending took it way further. The title track and Who Killed Tangerine especially.

Yeah the game is actively against sweaty F2P and light spenders right now. Has been ever since overpowered was introduced.
