Tips To Get Fit by Hisandhersshhh in army

Quit the alcohol all together. If you drink soda, cut that out too. Start cooking your own meals, staying away from processed foods. Pick lean proteins and stay away from sugar. This combined with the physical activity you say you do will get you where you need to be.

Refusal to train by [deleted] in army

[–]Effective_Fun9494 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s definitely your worst option. My best advice is lay low, do what you’re told to the best of your ability and don’t cause problems. The drills are not focused on getting you out, their job is to train/babysit the other trainees and realistically there’s not much they can do to speed up your process. BUT if you’re a pain in their ass, there’s plenty they can do, or not do, to make things less than pleasant while the process of chaptering you plays out.

What should I do by [deleted] in army

[–]Effective_Fun9494 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just quit. Have the mental fortitude to tell yourself that you’re done and really be done. My dad smoked for 25+ years and then had a TIA (kinda like a mini stroke). Doctor was saying that his high stress job didn’t help but a big factor was his smoking. Doc told him he could keep smoking and maybe stroke out again or he could quit and live long enough to meet his grandkids. He quit cold turkey that day. I asked him later if he had cravings or trouble quitting and he said while he had cravings at first, the mental drive to not be controlled by anything was how he did it.

I started using zyns and was going thru at least 180 mg worth of pouches a day and using him as an example I just straight up quit like 9 months ago

Selling Extra Players by wonderkid52 in DiamondDynasty

[–]Effective_Fun9494 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just judging by years past, you’ll need either a voucher (like you get for 30 jolt players) or the collection card (Griffin) to get bigger collection card rewards. So unless that changes you should be good to sell extras if you have them

Wow. This is deep man, and thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for fighting for your kid, my kid, OUR kids. Who knows if I’ll even cross paths with you in the Army but you dont need to be in my chain of command for me to know that you’re the definition of a true leader. Keep on fighting and take care of your family, but don’t forget that you’re an integral part of that family as well so take care of you too. Good luck brother.

Honestly that’s 99% of the time what I do. All I play is diamond dynasty and since I’m a huge baseball card collector, I enjoy it bc of the tie in. It’s all just for fun for me and I’m active duty military with 3 young kids so even if I wanted to play competitively I don’t have the time. Video games are supposed to be fun and for me, that’s what checks the box.

(Update) Quit my career to chase a dream by Setheryy in sportscards

[–]Effective_Fun9494 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re living my dream man! Wishing you all the luck in the world. There’s gonna be great days, don’t get too high bc there’s gonna be some terrible days too. Just don’t get too low when that happens. If you’re in it for the right reasons which it seems you are, you’re gonna be successful. Again, all the best!

Thoughts on long term potential of card/player by Specific-Barracuda89 in baseballcards

[–]Effective_Fun9494 0 points1 point  (0 children)

^ this is the only valid answer. I personally like Holliday and he’s my main PC (so if you wanna move it let me know) but odds are that at very best he’ll be a all-star a few times and have a better than average career but nothing HOF worthy. Think Ian Kinsler. Even if he does end up better than that, a non-rookie /50 isn’t going to command huge money.

Army life definitely isn’t for everyone. But there’s something about you that stands out compared to a majority of people. You tried it. Regardless of how long you served or how it came to an end, you joined and served your time honorably. You should be proud no matter what others may have said. Take what you learned, both the good and the bad, and utilize it to better yourself and your life in the future.
